Tummy Tuck - best decision ever!

WORTH IT$8,750
I had surgery on 01/15 and it went fantastic. I absolutely love Dr. Lawton and his staff. I got 3 drains inserted and of course they’re a bit of a nusance but sometimes beauty is not always pretty. The important part is that they’re very temporary. I went in for my 1st follow up visit the next day on 01/16 and I received an IV treatment next door at Tru Med to help rid my body of all of the anesthesia. The staff at True Med are unbelievably nice as well. They work hand in hand with Dr. Lawton’s office. They worked with me on the importance of nutrition needed for a great recovery. I was off pain meds by Friday 01/18 but remember that may not be the case for everyone. My next follow up was Wednesday 01/23. One drain was removed along with some sutures. I won’t lie that hurt and I did kind of wish I had pain meds but I just took a lot of deep breaths and got through it. My next follow up appt. is tomorrow where my 2nd drain will be removed. My daughter has already said that she sees the difference. I’m making it a point to not look at myself in the mirror at this point. I mean honestly what’s the point in that? I’m a realist. I still have tubes and stitches. It’s not pretty. Not yet anyway.

Hi! How have you been feeling? Would love an update!
So I am now 12 weeks post surgery and everything has been going great! There was maybe one time around the 4 week mark when I started to doubt my decision but it passed quickly. It was only because I still wasn’t able to stand straight up completely but like I said it passed quickly. I was able to stand straight up about 3 days later. If I can give anyone advice it’s to listen, listen, listen to Dr. Lawton’s and his staff’s instructions. You’ve just spent all this money on yourself. Dint go and mess it up by trying to exert yourself. If he tells you not to climb the stairs or not to exercise then don’t. Wait until he gives you the green light. Trust me you’ll be much happier with the end result. I seriously cannot imagine choosing a different doctor than Dr. Lawton for my surgery. My only complaint is that I waited as long as I did.

Tummy Tuck - Best Decision Eva!

I’m 40 years old with one adult child. I’m 5’1” and 130 lbs. Anyone you ask will say I didn’t need one but I WANTED one. Yes, spending over $8,000 is a lot of money and the average Jill like myself doesn’t have that kind of money just laying around but this is how I justify spending the money. I asked myself if I was worth $8,750 and I said hell yeah I am. I did my research for about 2 years before finally decided on Dr. Lawton and I cannot be any happier that I did. From my initial FREE consultation on 12/14/18 through my follow up care, Dr. Lawton and his staff have been very professional and extremely kind. I paid my $200 deposit and scheduled my surgery. I had my pre-op visit on 12/31/18 where I paid my remaining balance and I was set.

For you... did you have enough skin to do a tummy tuck?
That’s a great question that I’ve been meaning to include in my updated review. Yes, I did have enough skin for my tummy tuck however my scar is higher than what I had imagined it would be. We have to understand that the less amount of skin that you have the higher the scar will be because the doctor can only pull the skin down so much. Hope that helps.
