I am so incredibly happy with my results! Going back to work wise a little bit more challenging than I thought it would be. However, because I am self-employed I was able just to work half a day week 3 and now I’m back full time. My best advice to you is listen to your body and take a moment to relax. There is no prize for standing up straight quicker than other people who have had this procedure, no prize for being able to work out quicker than your surgeon says you should. This is advice coming from somebody who takes pride in their fitness and works out on a regular basis. You deserve to love everything about your body so if you’ve hesitated on this procedure don’t wait any longer!

Well it’s been absolutely worth the journey! For anyone who is considering having this procedure done please make sure that you have a good plan and support system around you, I’m so grateful that I did! I read some of the women’s stories in an online group that I belong part of and it’s so crazy for me to think some of these ladies have no one to help them. At a minimum the first 72 hours are critical that you have someone to provide you care 24 hours a day, Ideally a full week. If you have little ones you need to arrange for somebody else to care and take them to school, etc. I had arranged this all with my husband and mother-in-law to make sure that I had all the care that I needed. Meal prep is another thing that’s very important, you want to have a high protein, low carb diet filled with everything your body needs to recover. I had mine are pre-made and ready to go so my support just needed to heat it up and bring it to me. On top of that I drink 1 gallon of water per day and I make sure that I get up once every hour to walk. Mind you the first few days those walks are going to be very short, meaning I made it my goal to walk to the counter and back to my seat, sit down and rest and then the next hour I would get back up and see if I could surpass my goal a little bit. I now have both of my drains out and I will get my incision tape removed on Halloween. I’ve posted some pictures for you to see progress!

Thank you so much! I’m so happy with my results.
You look amazing, and also like you lost weight after surgery. You’re so right about all the prep! I wish I had found this site prior to my surgery. :(
You look amazing! And the way they did your scar!! Wow!

Feeling pretty good. Making progress with walking a bit further each day. Pain was the largest one-day postop in a burning sensation from the Lipo. I’m a little itchy, brushing is going down. I feel like it was worth it and recommend anyone looking to do it has a good support system at home for recovery. You will need help, take it. My best advice invest in a good walker, a toilet seat riser, shower chair, and a lift chair recliner. These things have been incredibly helpful for my recovery. Also, I suggest having your meals prepped that way whoever is taking care of you simply put it in the microwave.

Did you end up getting a FDL??
I’m sorry I’m not sure what that is?
It’s the fleur de lis, the one that also has a vertical incision all the way up.
No, I had a traditional tummy tuck. The foam pieces are from the contouring Lipo I had done. Those foam pieces get removed next week. :)
Ooooh! Ok that makes sense! I just thought your before was so amazing to begin with, and wondered why they would decide to do the FDL!
Thank you! You look amazing, can’t wait to follow your experience!
