Went for my 6 weeks post op yesterday. Doc cleaned my incision a bit with some fluted peroxide. It’s finally healing all up completely! Gave me the ok to stop wearing binder so much. Yay! What do y’all do when you swell?! Curious about that!! I go back in in 2 weeks to check on incision opening again, but even over night I can see the progress! Hoping in 2 weeks it will be fully healed, I miss my bath time!!! And I want to work out! She did give me the ok to possibly get on my spin bike for :10. That’s something! Might just wait though.. still so impressed with this all!! So happy!! Here we come summer!! I wold upload more pictures but I feel I look the same! More soon!!

Trying on some swim suits as my bachelorette party is approaching in Vegas in about a month. First time trying on!!! I still have a bit of my incision still open, directly in the middle. I’m being patient, and it is closing up. This has been my only struggle really. I have my 6 weeks post op in a few days, curious to see how the doc is saying in healing. I’m SO ready to work out! I’m assuming it won’t be until after this fully closes! I also miss taking baths!!! But this is all SO worth it ladies!!!

Wow!!! So at 5 weeks post other than the incision still needing to close a bit you feel yourself ??? I want to know when that starts to happen ? Do you have any numbing ? Are you back to everything work, life , etc except exercising ? When was your turning point ?

I feel this whole thing has been a breeze! Despite some of the earlier handicaps.. I felt back to myself nearly 2.5 weeks! Fully by 3. I was walking straight by 2 weeks! I credit that to always making sure I get up and walk. I can't sit still so getting up and moving was easy for me! Energy fully restored by 3 weeks too! I wouldn't say I'm numb, more tender! And yep, fully back to everything!!! If I was given the ok to exercise today, I'd do it!! But I'd say full turning point by 3 weeks!!!! Hope this helps!!

Oh and how long did you have to wear a compression garment for ? Did you have a full tummy tuck? Any lipo ?

Sorry when was your surgery day ?

My surgery was 1/30/2020. I had a full tummy tuck with Lipo of the flanks, she also did my mons pubis a bit!!! I've worn my CG this whole time, religiously! I only take it off to shower. It was definitely more stable in the beginning. It now feed a bit big, but still wearing it. I have my 6 week post op on Wednesday with my doc, to see ow things are looking. With my incision still being open, which I intend it being so for at least another 2 weeks, not sure if she will make me keep wearing if. I do feel comfort in it though. I don't feel a whole lot of swelling like I used to! I used to feel super flat in the AM and by evening, swollen. I feel pretty good all around now.. I should increase my water intake a bit more though. I try not to eat a a whole lot of anything processed or carbs. Don't get me wrong I do eat them, just not on a daily basis! I definitely try not to eat anything fried, either. Trying to continue to make this a lifestyle change!!!

So glad to hear your recovery has been smooth. I am scheduled to have my TT on 6/18. Dr. said he doesn't think I'll need muscle repair so that will make recovery easier. Also having lipo on waist and bra roll. I pray my recovery is smooth like yours. I will only have 4 weeks before I have to go back to work - which is working with special needs children 3 - 5 years old. It will require a lot of energy. I've been warned no lifting for 6 weeks which will be hard when I go back to work. Just praying it all goes smoothly.

Congrats to you!!!! The first two weeks are a bit up and down.. they were for me, but nothing you can't handle. It was more or less energy that would be great one day then gone the next. And I'm high strung so it was strange for me! I felt back to "me" by week 2.5-3. I'm on week 4 and I feel like I've had nothing done! Just rest, rest, rest!!! And lots of water and protein!! Get some protein shakes!!! And take stool softeners! If I had any challenge, it was that!! It was so hard for me to go, and you can't push!! Honestly the muscle repair wasn't bad.. truly none of it was!!!! You'll be so thankful in the end!!! Can't wait for you! This was the best thing I could've ever imagined doing for myself!! You'll be in my thoughts! But it was a breeze!! :)

6945anon. I hope so as well for you ! I can’t say it enough. Being prepared with supplies ahead really helps. Everyone does recover in their own way and maybe I’m in a “honeymoon” stage lol but so far so good which I am tremendously grateful

I am dieing to work out too!!!!! Luckily I've lost a few pounds, haven't gained any.. which is crazy because my appetite is through the roof sometimes! Can't wait to swim/take a bath!! You look phenomenal! So worth it :)

I really believe that a lot of it is your positive attitude. I love your energy! I too have been eating like crazy and since the morning of surgery I have lost 2.6kgs! Granted 1.3 kgs of that was cut off haha, but I'll take it! You look amazing and please let me know when you're getting married because that's wonderful x
