Of course. My surgery was in Reynosa, Tamaulipas Mexico. The transportation was just a 24 mile drive since Reynosa is in the border of south Texas. Once we crossed the border, the hospital was a few blocks away. If had an option to walk across the border and get a taxi, but we decided to drive. My surgery lasted approximately 4 hours and I stayed overnight. They had my legs on compression sleeves the whole night. In the morning, the doctor's nurse , Gladys, gave me a bath and was discharged around noon. She texted me everyday for the first few days. She is great. Once home, my husband helped me get up from the recliner for the first two days. After that I was strong enough and able to stand up and sit on my own (using my legs and hands for support). I was very swollen for the first few weeks, and went back to norma at about 3 months. The medication for pain was fenomenal. I had two drains for about 10 days, and had checkups on the third, and the seventh day. After that it was every two weeks. Everyday I felt stronger, and I took the pain medication for only seven days. Then It was over the counter meds. I also gave myself a shot of a decoagulants for 7 days on my arm. I can not stress enough that I did not have any pain. I would do it again in a heart beat. After a month, I started the massages two times a week for 4 weeks, and stated exercising slowly at 8 weeks.

I’m all I am very pleased with my scar. I haven’t used any treatments on it, and it’s pretty straight. I can’t wait to see how it will fade on one year.
