I unfortunately did a Reverse Tummy Tuck with Dr. Brian Shafa. I was told, I could remove some skin from the upper part of my stomach with no visible scars and it would tuck right underneath my breast fold. I had already had a breast lift so, he said it would be right where my old scar was. That couldn’t be farther from what happened. Nevermind the fact that I developed a Seroma, a seroma that I still have to this day, 2+ months after the surgery. The tiny scar that was supposed to be hidden under my breast, turned into a foot long scar that is not only visible under my breast but also now in the front and the sides. My breasts no longer hang and now all I see is a hideous scar. Also from the tension I’m in constant pain and I have a dog ear on one side. I think the worst part has been the doctor and his assistant telling me how good it looks every time I’ve been in, never once saying “this isn’t anything like we discussed, I’m sorry”. Maybe had he, I would have felt comfortable to let him try and fix it. The surgery cost 15K. I now have to pay another doctor 30k to completely redo my lift and reduction, to hopefully get the scar in the right place. But unfortunately that just means even bigger scars, and it will never go back to looking the way it did before, all I can hope for, is something better than it is. I wish he would have stuck to the original plan, instead of removing more and more skin while I was under, without my consent. I would have never agreed to it, I would have opted for a regular tummy tuck. Hope this helps someone out there from making the same mistake as I did…
