9 weeks with BioCorneum
WORTH IT
My TT scars and Lipo scars are getting lighter and lighter. I've always had dark pigmentation & scar horribly. My PS was aware of this pre-surgery. It usually take a minimum of 1-2 years for any scars to fade on me, if even at all & no scar products have really worked on me in the past... Vitamin E, Mederma....So I was very skeptical about BioCorneum but just decided to follow my PS advice and use it. It definitely has gotten a lot lighter! From past experiences with having lots of mosquitoes bite scars & eczema, my scars are the worst I've ever seen. But it's something I have to live with so I didn't think the BioCorneum could hurt in anyway. Definitely didn't expect it to help this fast.

Dark pigmentation
I had TT with lipo on the back flanks. Develop blisters as a result of compression foam sticking so tightly and rubbing against my skin. Develop an allergic reaction to the surgical tapes too. So hence that tiny little lipo hole left an inch-2 inch dark pigmentation scar. Was told at my 6wks PO to start using BioCorneum on it!! Yeah it got lighter within a few days. Will keep tabs on it to see if it will eventually completely fade. Wish me luck!!

ORIGINAL POST
BioCorneum
I've been using BioCorneum as instructed by my PS Dr.Bruno since week 2 post op when I had my surgical tapes removed. My scars are much thinner and lighter after 3 wks of use. I went through one bottle of BioCorneum so far, 2x/per day. I ran out so started using the Scar tapes.
I just saw My PS at my 6wks PO. He said I had an allergic reaction to the surgical tapes from the surgery center, hence the dark scar near my TT incision. I was instructed to continue using BioCorneum to lighten and help the scars heal better. I am alternating between the Scar tapes & the BioCorneum now so will take more pictures to keep tab of results. I've always had very sensitive skin so tapes of any sort irritates it so chances are will rely on the BioCorneum more.
