Biggest Disappointment
$8,700
After having three kids and saving for years, I finally decided to get a tummy tuck in August 2025. I paid $8,700 expecting a quality result, but instead I’m left feeling deeply disappointed and honestly heartbroken. After years of hiding my stomach, I went into this hoping to finally feel confident in my own body again. Instead, that hope is gone, and I’m right back to feeling like I need to hide.
To this day, my stomach is still bulging, and it’s obvious the muscle repair was not done properly. My belly button looks unnatural—almost like a coin—and the hip-to-hip scar isn’t even placed low enough to be hidden under underwear, which was something I specifically expressed concern about before surgery. It’s hard to look at myself and not feel regret.
At my follow-up, I was told I could get a revision after six months since my stomach was still large. The surgeon said he would waive his surgeon fee, and I was initially told I would only need to cover anesthesia, which I accepted. But when I received the actual quote, they added an operating room fee, bringing the total to $2,900—on top of the $8,700 I already paid.
That’s what makes this even more upsetting. There were no complications like infection or healing issues. The problem is that the surgery simply wasn’t done thoroughly enough, yet I’m being asked to pay thousands more to fix it. It feels unfair and incredibly discouraging.
Overall, this experience has been emotionally and financially draining. It feels very transactional, with little concern for how this has actually impacted me. I trusted this office with something deeply personal, and instead of feeling confident, I’m left feeling worse than before. I would strongly caution others to think very carefully before choosing this surgeon.
