Transformation of A Lifetime
WORTH IT
I had my BBL and tummy tuck with Doctor Vasilakis on July 21, 2023. I would consider this one of the best decisions that I have made.
This is the very beginning of how I stumbled across the doctor who would change my life forever in the best way possible.
For one of my ceremonies, I was putting on my outfit and I was upset about how I looked. Though, I felt guilty because I had lost a lot of weight. Going out to events was hard for me because I was not happy with the way I looked. I struggled to get rid of my fupa. I would workout and eat healthy but it never would go down. I was very discouraged and I would look for clothes that would hide it. As I was putting on my faja in an attempt to hide my fupa a tummy tuck was brought up. I knew of Doctor Vasilakis because a close family member had recommended him. I set up a consultation and drove out to Houston. Days prior I was so nervous as the thought of getting surgery and cut scares me. As soon as Doctor Vasilakis walked through the door he did a very great job assuring me that this is something that he does every day and I didn't need to be nervous. As soon as Doctor Vasilakis saw my stomach he told me right away that a lot of the fupa I had was loose skin and the only way to get rid of it was to get the skin removed. I also wanted a BBL and I knew it was the perfect time to get it done as well. I went in thinking I would need all kinds of things but he recommended what would work best for me. He took into consideration my age and my future plans of having kids. This meant a lot to me because he had his best intentions for me. All the nerves suddenly left my body and I knew I was in great hands. We booked my surgery and I would be seeing Doctor Vasilakis in July.
Weeks leading up to surgery
As we were preparing for surgery Memorial Plastic Surgery did an amazing job of helping us out. I want to say a huge thank you to Shelby, my nurse Candice, and Doctor Vasilakis as they answered any questions that I had. They stayed in contact with us the whole time leading up to surgery and even to this day they are just a phone call away!
Day of Surgery
When I got to the hospital I was very excited. This was the complete opposite of what I expected because, for my previous surgeries, I would have to be put to sleep before I even left the room to get surgery. I believe that I felt comfortable and safe because I knew I was in good hands. The nurses helped me out and assisted me. I went through the whole process of everything they do to prep you for surgery. The nurses, anesthesiologist, and Doctor Vasilakis did a great job of getting me ready. As the doctor was marking me I reminded him how low I wanted my scar, how I wanted my belly button to look, and how I wanted my BBL. An hour later I was put on the table for the transformation of a lifetime.
Post-op
The night I got out of surgery Doctor Vasilakis called me to see how I was doing. That made me feel very good because I knew my doctor cared for me even after I had my surgery. He assured me that he was only a call or text away and to not hesitate. I followed the doctors' orders and got my massages. I stayed in Houston for two weeks to complete my massages. The first couple of weeks were tough for me. My energy wasn't high and I struggled to sleep. Although when I got to my 3rd week I was functioning a lot better. I was retraining a lot of fluid so I needed to get more massages. I started getting them again in my 3rd-week post-op. The lady said Doctor Vasilakis's work is one of the best she has seen. By my 4th week post-op, I forgot I even had surgery!
In conclusion
I recommend Doctor Vasilakis to anyone who wants to get work done. He cares and has the best intentions for his patients. He is amazing and he has boosted my confidence so much! Thank you, Doctor Vasilakis!
