Have not posted in a while. I’ll be 11 weeks tomorrow and I’m feeling pretty good. Still have a drecreased sensation in my abdomen especially around my new BB. I had 2 times where my incision reopened a small bit from stitches pushing through (6 and 8 weeks) that my body didn’t fully dissolve and rejected. I did wound care at home and am all healed up. Need a revision of my scar to get rid of 2 dog ears and that’s scheduled in 2 weeks so I’m nervous for that and hoping it helps. Still having some swelling in my abs where they did my hernia repair with mesh and muscle repair. Definitely Happy with my results.

2 weeks post-op

I am 2 weeks post-op today. Still have a decreased appetite (except for sweets wahhh!). Had my first coffee in over 2 weeks and it was heaven! ( I’m a nurse so I love on caffeine Lol). I got my second drain out on Tuesday (that pinchy feeling when my stitch was being removed was the worst part, again!). Took my first real shower and it felt amazing, I did not want to get out but then got tired and sore. Also got to drive for the first time yesterday which exhausted me and I ended up being really uncomfortable by the end of the night. I’ve been taking Extra strength Tylenol as needed but my General Surgeon gave me Ultram for breakthrough pain which I’ve take twice since Tuesday. Still dealing with occasional nausea but that is so much better then a week + ago. My stitches in my belly button will hopefully come out next Tuesday. My PS said from the beginning that I might have issues with it healing properly due to the large umbilical hernias that I had causing the tissue to be deprived of blood supply. So far he said it looks good and there is a small area we are keeping an eye on. P dot S that weird and uncomfortable sensation my belly button and surrounding area, has been my biggest complaint haha. Hope everyone else is healing well.

1 week post-op

Today I am 1 week post op. I do not have any new updated pictures to share at this time. I had a follow up yesterday and had 1 drain removed and the removal of the stitches securing it were the most uncomfortable and pinchy. I felt some spasm of my muscles once the drain was pulled all the way out but that’s slowly starting to subside: The car ride to and from the appointment was the worst complaint and rough. All the bumps and curves made me queasy and gave me some discomfort but my PS is happy with where I am at in the healing process and how well i am getting around. Today I’m having less pain but still 5-6/10 when I get around the 5.5-8 hr mark after taking pain medication and moving around. Tylenol still does not relieve the pain enough on its own yet. It’s tough when you get some tired out from literally doing nothing except walk and a few things here and there. Really missing my energy and the ability to love on my kids especially my littlest ones who are 1 and 6 (both girls) the older 3 are boys and let’s be honest, they’re to cool for mom lol ???? well that’s all I have for now.

I feel you! I am tired of getting tired but i know it will pass. Glad you had some relief from the pinchy drain. Rest and take good care!

I honestly cannot wait for it to pass. I feel like I blink, talk and yawn then I need a nap lol, it’s awful. I laughed at my PS because I told him of course he was taking out the drain that was not bothering me at all. It was pinchy when he was cutting the stitches and removing those from the drain. The other drain I feel random pinching and it is just uncomfortable but what can you do. How are you feeling? Do you still have drains in?

I had my drains out on tuesday which was great but now i have some swelling so that's kind of a bummet. Feeling generally irritable and just feel like it might be better for the universe if i stay in my room away from others. I do miss being with my kiddos and as much as the running around with them is crazy, i do miss it. Soon enough. I am really.happy with my results and i know they will only get better.

Thats ok to feel that way and at least you know your limitations. I’m definitely noticing more swelling and discomfort in my back after my one drain was pulled. Have you posted any pictures yet? I cannot wait to see your results and progress
