I Had an Awful Experience with Him. My Low Self-esteem is More Prominent Now.

My experience with Dr. Z was not the greatest. I wish I had done my homework before selecting him as my surgeon. Now nearly three years later I am seeking for a revision surgery from a more qualified surgeon with a better understanding of helping achieve a feminine figure.
Dr. Z can be easily annoyed. After my surgery I discovered that he closed me up with staples around the 'dog ears.' When I explained that I had severe pain he treated me as though I was a nuisance to him. I developed painful scar tissue that I wanted removed, but he did not want to remove. He said he would only fix my 'dog ears' and liposuction areas he did not lipo during my first surgery.
He did a poor job. The surgery was not worth the money or the pain and suffering.
Before my surgery I explained I wanted my incision to be lower and that I did not care about my tattoo since I would eventually have it removed. He did not listen. He did not liposuction correctly. I also developed a deep vein thrombosis which I did not know about until after I requested my surgery file. I will share pictures upon request. Unfortunately the file size it too big here.

I was about to get a tummy tuck MR and liposuction with him but he is extremely overpriced. I'm 5 feet 124 pound he wanted to charge me 17500. Thanks god I found the best doctor in New York Dr. Taranow

I was sucking my stomach in and I was wearing underwear that was high up. I hid the imperfections very well. Overall, he was not worth going to.
I didn't like his attitude with me when I expressed my dissatisfaction.

Wow I am really surprised to read this about him. I had my procedures with him and had an amazing experience. No complaints whatsoever. I wish you well moving forward.

I'm not sure if it's visible from the pictures, but I have a bulge directly on my sternum area.
The scar is too high for my liking and I also still have pain below my belly button area where I developed painful scar tissue from a fluid buildup in that area.
It also looks like I have a FUPA when I wear my uniform, or any jeans.
I will be going for my revision. I am still upset about my experience with him.

Again I'm so sorry you had that experience. Prior to me seeing him I had researched and as soon as I met him, I just knew it was the right decision to go with him. He was very open about what he'd be able to do for me, etc. May I ask you - did you wear your garment consistently? Also, how about lymphatic drainage massages, did you get any?
Hello, I did my lymphatic massages (10). And I wore my compression garments for nearly 2 months. He okayed me to stop wearing them at that time.
There are many irregularities that compression garments cannot fix, including improper muscle repair, and lack of symmetry on my flanks due to him removing more fat from my right flank compared to the left flank. I will take more pictures when I get some free time.

I had a tummy tuck with him last June and also achieved unideal results. I am letting him do my revision next month free of charge (anesthesia cost only) and I'm hoping he uses this chance to correct the shelf I still have plus some asymmetry on my sides. He also didn't transfer fat properly for the BBL I had done in addition to my TT. He did seem annoyed, this is true. However, he vocalized that it is important for him that patients walk away happy. Did he not offer any revision for you? As for DVT, did you have any predisposing factors or risks? Did Dr. Z know about them? Wishing you the best of luck in achieving your goals!
Oh ok. Sorry you had a bad experience. I know I'd be upset too if I went through that. My experience was the complete opposite with him, it was all good. But good luck moving forward, I hope all goes well with your next surgeon.
Hello Alla,
He did offer a revision in which I'd only have to pay for the anesthesiologists fees. The moment he showed me an attitude and made me feel like I annoyed him after the painful recovery I had and all of the money I paid for my surgery, was the moment I decided I could not have my revision surgery done by him. It's a lesson to be learned and I will have to pay my new surgeon full price for my. revison, but I will not go back and forth with him about what I want him to fix. In a way I am happy you can attest to what I said in regards to his attitude and him being annoyed. I want my next surgery to be my last.

As far as the DVT goes I am not sure what happened. I am healthy and I work for the fire department here in NYC and they do routine EKG's on us.
As I mentioned in my original post, I should have done my homework and searched for surgeons with far more reviews than he does. I found a new surgeon and I am confident in them.
He also has an attitude with his Medical Assistants sometimes. I didn't like that.

I truly hope your revision is the last time you go under the knife. I know how painful this whole process is and to have to repeat it is not something anyone wants to think about at any point. Allamalabalafala, can you write a review of your own with pictures? I would really like to see. I was going to book surgery with dr z now I am hesitant. I already consulted with him and I asked him to see pictures of incisions but he wouldn't show me. He just said everyone is different. I'd like to see your review and pics because you might be my final deciding factor on whether I have surgery with him or not.
Please take your time and be patient. Don't go with your first choice, choose surgeons who show pictures of the scar placements, read their worst reviews.
