Tummy Tuck After Emergency Laparotomy

WORTH IT
After a terrible car crash last year, I had a lifesaving laparotomy surgery. For one year I embraced my scars, thankful to be alive. However, I counted down to 1 yr so I could have my scars assessed. I’m so incredibly grateful to have found Dr. Hill. He took one look at my scar and said, “Why do vertical scar work when we can do a tummy tuck and eliminate a good portion of the scar?” In 2 minutes I went from hoping for a scar improvement to planning a tummy tuck. I promised myself I’d put my story out there because I had such a hard time finding stories like mine. I’m 13 days post op and I’m so happy with the process.

Surprise Bill!

refineJen
Today I received a bill from the hospital for over $90,000. Yes. That’s NINETY THOUSAND DOLLARS. It’s an interesting development to say the least. ???? I wonder who else has experienced this. I’ll call Monday for answers.

I feel mostly recovered. Nightly swelling is getting better. My TT scar is “climbing” a bit. It seems to have some “attachment” issue. That’s the only way I can think to describe it. When I’m siting, it’s perfect. When I stand, it distorts significantly. I see Dr Hill Monday and I’ll address it. I’m sure he’ll say my tummy, scar, and scar issue make for complicated healing. I’m a smidge annoyed, as it seems to be getting worse, but I’m reserving my feelings til I hear what he says. The rest of the scar is BRILLIANT! I’m posting 2 same day pics. One sitting, one standing.
