Drains out!!
$10,000
2 weeks post op and both drains are out. So glad. Hoping the tightness gets better and I start sleeping soon. Have only been getting 3-4 hours a night since surgery. Looking forward to a nice weekend.

55 Years Old and I Finally Did It!
I have been talking about having a tummy tuck for over 20 years and I finally did it!! So tired of having a "bumpy jelly roll" and just a sad little crease for a belly button. It is a bit more pain and discomfort than I expected. I used a walker for the first 5 days which definitely helped. I also have an adjustable bed which has been awesome! I still have the drains in and can not walk straight up yet. I do have a feeling of a tight belt is around my stomach. I am also experiencing a burning sensation on my stomach and groin area. Still have a tight cramping feeling in stomach and hip area. So anxious to get drains out and to continue healing. I am pleased with the results and my husband is retired and has been the best caregiver ever!

Hi.Thanks for sharing. I'm finally doing it too! I'm 61 and getting TT/LIPO on Monday, 3/16th. I glad to hear you're coming along and hoping by now you've gotten the drains removed. I wish I had an adjustable bed..that's about the only item I did not buy in preparation for recovery. I'm gonna tough it out in a power recliner and move to either a blow up bed or my guest bed as I progress. I was surprused thst you're not wearing compression since I thought everyone did this. Is this because you didn't get LIPO?
Keep healing and let us know how you're coming along.

I wish you all the best and will be thinking of you Monday!! I get my second drain out today!! My PS chooses not to use compression garment due to concerns of blood clots, however from what I've seen seems like you get flatter quicker by using it. I'm almost walking straight but it is uncomfortable and feels weird. Take care and wishing you well
Oh I meant to give kudos to your hubby. My S/O will be my one and only support person. With the upheaval now due to Coronavirus, I didn't want aby of my family/friends flying in right now. I think the two of us can handle this just fine.
Yay on you! I, too have wanted this surgery for over 20 yrs after 3 beautiful BIG babies did a number on my belly. I had my surgery at 55 (this past January 3rd). It has been a roller coaster of a ride! I had breast augmentation at the same time and I think that made it a lot harder as I felt like a jellyfish out of water. Don’t use your abs and don’t use your arms
Hi
I agree it is a crazy roller coaster. I was considering doing a breast life at the same time and decided not to. I may wait a year on that. I would love to hear more about your TT recovery. Did you also have Lipo? Did you have drains? I get my 2and drain out today!! I have been an emotional wreck lately. Stomach still has that numb/weird feeling. Almost walking straight up now but moving slow. Not bad for 2 weeks I guess. Looking forward to hearing back from you!
