50 and Fabulous

I have two children - 24 and 19 and both were born via cesarean section so I have had 2 incisions across my lower abdomen. Over the years I gained weight, lost weight, gained weight, lost weight - which left me with a large shelf of skin below my belly button and above my pubic area. I consulted with Dr. Pedersen after many years of wanting the surgery but it took time to save the money to pay out of pocket for the costs associated with the surgery. When I met with Dr. Pedersen I found him to be a kind and considerate surgeon and he listened to my concerns and answered my questions. As my day drew closer and I did my pre-op visits I was running a low temp and had a mild sinus infection. I was able to take the medication to clear up my infection and still able to have my surgery on time. Since it was over the holidays my follow up ran up against Christmas and New Years. When I had an issue with my drain, Dr. Pedersen called me himself on New Year's Eve and had me go to the office to see his PA to check my drain. My subsequent removal of my drain was a relief (it's just slightly uncomfortable). My 3 month post op appt. had to be moved due to COVID-19 and turned into a 6 month post op in the pictures below. Again, Dr. Pedersen was a gentleman and I am extremely happy I chose him as my surgeon.
