It's been 7.5 months now since my operation and I am still totally elated with my results. It's gonna be a bit longer yet till I have "full recovery", as I do have some swelling still, lots of numbness in the area between my belly button and the scar. I do have a dark scar colour, which will lighten up over time. Aside any small complaints, which will likely sort themselves out over time, I am 100% happy with everything!

I have had a tummy tuck for 10+ years. I don't regret it, but there are a few things to tell you so you don't suffer like me for years. The numbness will still be there and swelling sometimes on and off depending on your diet. Make sure you get a physical therapist who does MANUAL (very important!) therapy to soften your scar tissue or your scar tissue will pull on your spine/muscles and will cause severe low back pain/sciatica and low extremity issues such as frequent urination, leg pain/numbness. My 6 weeks post op photos look great. Swelling has been at a minimum and everything is healing nicely. My belly button has been the slowest to heal but coming along nicely. I am so happy I had this done and am loving the results.

3 weeks post-op and looking good

My 3 weeks post op follow up was great! Everything is healing well and I'm moving very well.
Pain hasn't been much for me, little pangs here and there and the odd bit of discomfort, but over all it's been very minimal.
I'm still really happy with everything! I just have to remember I'm still recovering and not push myself to do much.

How long after your surgery before you was able to stand up straight? Did you get the pain medication - exparel?
