WORTH IT
1 year, 1 month update. I finally took off my silicone scar sheets. I wore them for exactly one year. I also cut the sheet up and put on my belly button incision. Few times a week i would try out different scar gels and put it on after I showered, let dry, then reapply silicone scar strips. You can save money by cutting them onto thinner strips. I live in Florida where its always hottt...around 6mths I took the belly button silicone strips off for a few days. I noticed the scar puffing up outward and I could feel hard scar tissue or something. I moisturized and put the strips back on right away....a few days later when I changed them out for new ones, the hard tissue and irregularities were completely gone from my belly button scar. It was back to looking perfect, soft to touch and concealed away. A year later I no longer wear tape on my stomach period and no keloid or scar puffing/changing has come back. So understand...the scar needs moisture for a long time. If you don't take care of your scar and wear your silicone sheets over them...they can get dry and change. If you commit to wearing them a year, you will be fine and have the most minimal unnoticeable scar. This is coming from someone who normally scars very bad. I am really happy with my results.

Only a week or so into wearing the silicone strips, still healing. My skin glue took longer to fall off and I had to wait for that before being able to apply the silicone scar strips. Such a perfect incision though, I expect the scar to be very minimal over time. Also, don't stress if you have swelling or hardness above or on the incision line. I had this in one area and it has flattened out for the most part, huge difference now. This was partially due to inflammation and also due to stitches that had not fully dissolved (this entire process of internal stitches dissolving can take months i read). I have had no lymphatic massage and I now believe it is not necessary, after seeing my results. Arnica topical gel helped me, along with Arnica pills.

May I ask the cost?
Absolutely gorgeous results!
Beautiful results! The areas you got lipo sound like what I need. Can you post a before picture?
I have stomach photo only but the doctor has before photos which I think I consented them to show when people come for the consultation. Basically I had fat on the upper sides of my ribcage and my back. I decided not to do lipo in the hips and to do this upper area instead so everything looked even. I think it I had not done it this way it would not have came out soo good. Even when you feel like you need lipo in the hip region, if you're getting a tummy tuck, it takes away a lot of that on its own.
Yes! That's exactly what I was thinking about my own body.... Very helpful, thank you!
Thank you for sharing all of your information! Your scaring looks great!

I don't feel tightness in my stomach anymore and I am walking upright, feeling very comfortable. The little bit of swelling I had above the incision has went away, everything looking flat. Another interesting thing to mention, I never had any pain where the tummy tuck was done. The areas were lipo was done (on my back and around rib cage) was the only soreness I ever experienced. If you get lipo, make sure to purchase foam pads to place under compression garments, this decreases pain significantly and helps create a more evened out compression surface. Also, the outfit I purchased for getting around the house with my drain bulbs secured in the interior pouches of the garment, this was such a comfort. It's a gross feeling when a drain bulb accidentally gets unclipped from your clothes and falls to the ground like a bungy cord hanging out of you. With this garments, I didn't feel the tubes move or have any discomfort/worry whatsoever. Approaching week 4, nearly all swelling is gone, I would say I have about 10- 20% more healing to go. Whatever the doctor tells you to do, do exactly as he says. He is a very smart man and you are in the best care. I will update again with scar pics once the skin glue is all the way off, we are half way there, looking amazing!! Very thin hairline scar mark soo far.

You look great! I was debating on getting that garment for my procedure coming up but I think I def will. When did you get your drains out?
I got 2 drains out after 1 week and the other 2 were removed after 2weeks. Although everyone hates drains, I am thankful for them and they are very much needed. As I said, the outfit I bought to hold my drains in (which I also slept in) was a huge game changer and made me comfortable with having the drains, as they were secure and i did not feel them move.
Thank you for sharing your experience. Also how mich was the cost I want to get lipo and tummy tuck as well.
Great review and I have to say, I am so torn on this procedure, You are presenting with everything going well and successful and reduces my fear, while I just read another review where the wound separated and needed major wound care. Is there something different you did? How can I have perfect success? Did you wear a compression garment
