I'm down over 130 lbs through diet, exercise, and medication so I have excess skin in multiple places. I went for a consult with Dr Kath and will start with a tummy tuck and an arm lift. Very excited with Dr Kath and looking forward to my surgery date!!

Tummy tuck and arm lift done!

Had outpatient surgery and was super impressed with all the staff working at the surgery center. I had a tap block done on my abdomen so my pain was very manageable on my first day.
One thing I’m surprised about is how much swelling there is on my whole body. Even my hands.
Very very happy with my results. I cried when I got to see myself.

Hello I’m having my TT and lipo surgery January 9 2024 with Dr Kath. How long has it been since your TT with Dr.Kath?

Hey! First of all, you picked the RIGHT surgeon - she's amazing!!! It's been almost a year and I am so happy with my body! I also had a breast lift with her back in August and she did an AMAZING job. I actually am going back for my third surgery on Jan 12 so we are getting operated on in the same week :) I am getting bodytite/lipo on my inner thighs, upper and lower back, and abs. if you are going to the East Memphis Surgery center, they are so sweet, kind and caring. I loved everyone who cared for me for both surgeries. Let me know if you have any more questions, but you are in great hands!!!

Thank you! My surgery is at Germantown Surgery Center. I had to pay $1000 extra to have it there but was able to have my surgery sooner rather than later. We have a trip planned for April. Going to Grand Canyon for our 30 yr anniversary. Going to Spend a month traveling so I wanted to make sure I was healed before our trip. The next available surgery date at East Memphis was March. I felt that was too close to our trip.

Oh I didn't realize they have earlier dates at the Germantown location. You will definitely want the extra time to heal so very smart move. The tummy tuck is a bit rough in the first week pain-wise so keep up with your painkillers on a regular schedule so that you can keep it well managed. It is annoying to have a drain that you have to monitor... hopefully you get it out quickly. Mine was in for weeks but I have lupus so I think that caused my high drainage problem but this is not common. I know Dr Kath doesn't have any strict rules regarding what compression garments to wear and when. I ended up preferring the Marena brand which is pricey but very comfortable and worked well for my needs. I also found regular lymphatic massages to be helpful in managing my swelling. I already have several massages scheduled for after my next procedure because lipo can definitely make you swell. All the best on your procedure. I am definitely not nearly as nervous this time around as I was for my first time. I 100% trust Dr kath!

Hi could you tell me about the arm lift with Dr Kath? How was your healing? How is the scar? Any openings? What was recovery like
May 18, 2024
Hi! My arm lift was amazing and I am so in love with my new arms. It wasn’t as painful to heal as my tummy tuck was. I didn’t have any openings. There are some scars but I also have tattooed arms so the scars aren’t really visible. Many people don’t even realize that I had an arm lift! I never had any openings in the sutures. The only difficulty was that my incisions went into my armpits which i don’t think happens with every arm lift so it was a bit more difficult to heal in my pit itself. Also because of the arm pit being changed, I can’t shave it very well so I just wax it now with a home waxing kit I bought. I think Dr Kath removed some of the armpit skin that produced hair because I don’t have nearly as much as I used to so that’s a win. Despite the armpit being a small annoyance in healing and the change to my hygiene routine, I would do it all over again. My arms are my fav part of my post weight loss transformation!!!

Not sure why my username is different. I must have logged in with a different email but this is tangoromeo25 replying about the arm lift experience.
