BOTCHED BY DFR
so we arrived a few days early 3/22 and sx was scheduled for 3/25. i went to the clinic and did all testing/chest x-ray in his office and finally meet with an “assistant” who did basic questions you answer when you get a quote. she never even looked at my body!! just wrote things down. blood work was done at a separate clinic. while filling out the paperwork/consent forms i noticed that my forms had another patients name and info and they scribbled it out and handed it to me,in spanish.. Later that day i got a text from my coordinator that my hemo was pretty low and i needed 7 days of iron infusions, after 3 and 5 days i was rechecked and i would also need to reserve 2 bags of blood and pay the day of sx. i did the infusions and hemo came up so sx was 3/30 at 6am. also my coordinator texted me the day of any appointment 10-30 minutes before the actual appointment time. everyone knows how DR traffic is..
The day of sx i arrived early obviously and i was the only patient in the clinic. they get me upstairs and get my into my recovery room. everything was good. i had to pay for my blood and i didn’t have change so i also gave alicia, dfr assistant, the money for my overnight nurse. i get my iv in and the lady was so sweet and very abuela like. loved her. FINALLY DFR comes in with alicia and he marks me up, not saying one word. When he’s done and left my iv is started, and i’m given the blue bill. i remember walking into to operating room and i remember waking up twice and then going right back to sleep. i remember finally waking up in my recovery room and my armpit hurt so bad and the faja was digging into it so i had them unstrap the tops. i also remember getting nauseous. I don’t know what time i got out of sx but i didn’t get my phone back until 6ish that night. i asked and asked and even told the nurses that i needed to check in my toddler who was with his dad (husband speaks spanish and child only speaks english) and the nurses kept telling me no and i couldn’t get out of bed to get it. my nurse had to sneak into the clinic to check on me!!! around 2am someone asked if i had an overnight nurse and i told them they provided one for me.. she finally shows up and immediately tried to rub my feed, like girl plz no. and then they brought me soup and juice, at 2ish in the morning. my overnight nurse takes my faja off for the first time and i finally see my results and i was and still am so pissed, angry, disappointed. everything. over the results. my nurse could tell and she tried to tell me it’s ok, and it’s swelling, but i knew better. so next day i go home and since i got blood i couldn’t get massages until 3 days postop. i go to my first post op appointment at his office and see an assistant or nurse, idk. all she did was change my dressing, i was 3 days post op. at a week post op i go for another appointment and i go to the clinic and see dfr. he proceeds to tell me that my tummy tuck looked good and it was only swelling and fluid and will go down with massages and compression then he and alicia proceeded to talk about my arms and breasts should be my goals for round 2. i was moving air bnb’s and i got a text saying i needed to go to the office for my last post op visit. i let my coordinator know i was moving apartments and she never replied.
When i got home i noticed my butt crack was hurting so i snapped and pic and of course an infection so i took care of that myself. a week after getting home i texted and asked about a revision because i knew it was fucked up from day 1. i was told they don’t consider revisions until 1 year post op. during my first 3 months i was dealing with my belly button not healing. i got ahold of my coordinator to let her know it wasn’t healing and she told me to use silver gel and that should work. it didn’t so i went to urgent care and er to make sure there wasn’t an infection. but what i was told is that my belly button was tunneling and the back open and space in the middle was closed and the front was open. i was given antibiotics just in case and medicated gauze to stuff my belly button. i was also told no faja until completely healed. i followed direction and no faja for about 8weeks. i got my tributo only to wear it a few times to realize that it causes infection in my belly button from skin to skin contact and getting no air. Finally i had had enough and contact alicia asking about a revision. i sent pics and she quoted me 4900 for a tt revision lipo/bbl. i was going to DR to visit in october 2022 so i set up an appointment to meet with the surgeon to get an explanation about my tummy tuck. He told me what i already knew he was going to say, i had a lot of skin, this was the best option, round 2 will be better. i messaged alicia and asked if 4900 was still my quote, she said yes. and that’s the last of it until recently when i asked for a refund and was told no and now no replies. so plz ladies, watch out!!

Perfect Experience
DFR, Yara, and every single person at the office and clinic are so sweet and very caring! I needed iron infusions and the doctor and yara were very quick with the prescription and results from tests. They also let me know i would need blood after sx. They texted and made sure i was doing ok and if i needed anything. I will definitely be going back and getting my round 2 with him! They are amazing!
