I've been looking to have a tummy tuck since I hang first child 13 years ago. The decision has been a roller coaster ride up until this year. I looked to travel to docs but decided that staying in my hometown was the better option for me. Today is day 1 post-op and I'm doing great.

Hi there, Dr Shifrin is great! His staff is as well. I was so nervous going in but everyone made me feel at ease. I felt a great sense of peace. Everything went so fast from pre-op to PACU. I'm day 3 Post-op now and no pain meds for me. Im also walking around more. I still need help because im slightly bent over and I didn't think to get a walker. But so far so good. I hope everything goes well wit your surgery. I wish I had done this a long time ago.

Or course being nervous is normal but don't be, u made a great choice. I went home afterwards, I stay in recovery for an hour and then my ride came to pick me up. I'm a nurse so I pretty much looked out for signs of complications but my SO is taking care of me for the most part.

I had surgery on August 11, 2022. So today is post-op day 2 for me. Post-op day 1 was bad. The Percocet barely did a thing for me. I had a 2-hour drive back home. That might be why I was so uncomfortable. If you don't mind answering what are you doing for pain management? I have a feeling that plain old OTC Ibuprofen would help me better.

Hey hun! I was prescribed norco 5-325 I took 2 every 6 hrs for a day. It worked very well. I was under the impression that one did not do the trick. Good luck to you

I’m doing much better, honestly the night of day 1 was hell for me. I was trying to find comfortable ways to sleep. My stomach muscles were tight, and I guess I ate too much, I learned my lesson there lol. I went to my post op appt yesterday and we changed dressings and I got to take a look, it looks so good y’all ????.

Drain incision leakage

User Avatar

Hey RS, so my left drain started to leak at the incision site on yesterday. I began cleaning it wit peroxide and normal saline. I placed gauze underneath and over it a taped it in place. I did speak wit the nurse she told me that it’s normally ok and to milk the tube, it may be a blockage. I will keep u guys updated. Ps these drains are a headache. I’m nervous to get them out but I’m so ready.
