Was It Worth It...Maybe I Needed a Tummytuck...DISAPPOINTED

Today is 6/8/2020 1day shy of 6weeks post op. I'm very discouraged from my results. I was told after 4-5 weeks I would be able to see 80% of what my final results would look like. I have worn my faja and self massage, been exercising since 2nd wk post op. I lost 13lbs due to the workout and change in diet. Okay so I have this weird lump-sided belly now after my lipo. I had lipo on upper, lower, flanks and bra roll. I went in last Tuesday and inquired about revision due to the amount of fat I still have. I was told that they removed 4.3litters and Ga. limits are 5 Litters. I'm not sure if that was mainly the fluid they used during the process but it doesn't appear to be much fat removed. The nurse stated no revision decision would be made until 12 weeks and the dr examine me again. I saved to pay for this procedure and im afraid I'm going to need another maybe even a tummy tuck. I'm lost not sure if its swelling or fat but I was told by the nurse when it feels soft that means all the swelling is gone.....Well i'm soft in about 90% of my stomach. So does that mean this is my final view? HELP!!!!

Do not waste your time or money. Dr. Mcneel was kind and confident initially however after the surgery he was extremely nonchalant about my progress and even stated he was disappointed with the results.

You needed both liposuction and a tummy tuck. The Dr. should have counseled you to have the tummy tuck in the first place.
Yea I agree the a tummy tuck and lipo would have done what you were looking for. I'm told that lipo can take about or up to 10lbs from stomach safely. The consults I've had asked if I was within 30% of my ideal body weight. I'm a thick chick but weight is distributed evenly......I would recommend you keep losing weight and exercising and see what you have in the next few months. You may see some more changes. 6weeks is still early. Don't lose hope just yet. Stay motivated.
Drs don't remove pounds of fat. They remove cc's of fat. In fact Drs warn that lipo is not a weight loss procedure at all. It removes areas of fat on an otherwise in shape person that can't lose the weight in a certain area, like the saddle bag area, that isn't affected by diet or exercise.
CCs convert in to pounds. No, it's not a weight loss method however, they are removing fat cells and it will bring the area down in number I.e. measurements. Lipo For a total weight loss plan, no. Diet and exercise helps improve that for sure. There are stubborn areas that don't budge which warrants a lipo plan for results. I wish her and everyone else the best of luck.
So if you had 4.3 liters of pure fat removed that equals around 7.5 pounds. But was the 4.3 liters removed include the fluid as well? If you didn't get the lipo and dieted 7.5 pounds and lost it would you still want to lose more? There are 3 compontents here, fat, skin, and muscle. The tuck will tighten the muscle and remove the loose skin and the lipo would get rid of the fat. After lipo some people are left with loose skin. If you get more lipo, which you may need, then you will have more loose skin. You can choose to get more lipo or lose the weight through diet, then get the tummy tuck. BTW, have you had children? The tuck may need to wait until after having kids because it will be a waste of a surgery.
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have children. I am currently trying to lose more weight. I just hate that I wasted over 5K for a procedure that didn't work and if I never told anyone no one would guess I had it done. I expected some form of change in my abdomen but as you can see it not. I just want to find the right practice to get the service/results I want.
