Ready for the New Me!

Sorry I don't have updated pictures but I will try to take some this weekend. I don't look much different, except maybe more swollen. Thankfully, I was expecting that so I'm not letting it get to me too much. I did go back to work on Monday, I wasn't sure how it would go but I have a desk job so it's not too strenuous. It is kind of difficult to sit upright at my desk all day but I'm trying to get up and walk around as much as I can and that does help. What has been harder than I expected was finding things to eat that don't contain a lot of sodium. I thought I was being smart by buying some frozen breakfast sandwiches and meals for lunch to bring to work since I knew I wouldn't feel up to cooking much but they are so high in sodium and they aren't kidding when they say to avoid that! I really notice a difference when I eat something like that, I swell up so much more. I am drinking as much water as I possibly can to try to help with that.

I was really swollen by day 4 and noticed that the faja my doctor put me in was feeling kind of loose. I was able to move to the next set of hooks to make it tighter and that seemed to help, it doesn't seem like it would be more comfortable to be tighter but it actually is! You seem to swell to whatever space your body has available. The only issue is I have marks on my skin from where the closure is so I am wearing lipo foam to try to avoid those becoming permanent. This is a pain because I look bigger and have to wear loose clothes to hide all the bulk. Also, my faja is black so I have to wear dark clothes too. I can't wait to be able to wear stuff that shows off the results!

I feel much better today thankfully! I am still debating on whether or not I will go to work tomorrow or call in sick but I'm hoping I can go. Yesterday was still pretty painful whenever I had to get up or sit back down and it still feels really sore but it's manageable. I am taking half a pain pill with 1 Tylenol extra strength to make my pain pills last a little longer and it makes me less sleepy too so that seems to be working well. Taking a shower yesterday felt so good and I was so glad to wash my garment because I had leaked all over it and it felt disgusting. I was able to get some pictures today and I look much better than I did right after my procedure . I'm hoping my final results will be a lot smoother but I have a lot of stretch marks that aren't going anywhere. I know I'm still swollen but I'm wondering if I would have been happier getting my waist/flanks done instead of my bra roll? Oh well it's too late now and I hope if I lose more weight that will help.

So I had my procedure today. The procedure itself did not hurt much at all. There were a couple of times when he was near my ribs that it was uncomfortable but I wasn't in any pain so that was a relief.However once I got home the pain really hit me! It hurts to move much at all. I had a high pain tolerance so this was a surprise to me. I am concerned because I heard from most people that day 2 is worse!

I didn't get to see my stomach right afterwards, they put pads on me and my compression garment right away. But my fiance just changed my pads so I got to see it and I have to say so far I am pretty disappointed.I know I'm so swollen but my stomach just looks deflated I'm not flat at all! I'm worried that it's loose skin and that it's how it's going to look. Can someone please reassure me if that's normal? I will try to post pictures tomorrow before I get in the shower to get some opinions.
