Online consultation, applying for financing, and scheduling surgery was an easy process.
The day before my surgery and for my follow up appointment I was contacted to move my appointment up by 30 minutes, and unfortunately due to traffic, I was late. Each trip to Houston took over four hours and while 30 minutes may seem insignificant, it makes a difference when having to arrange for coverage of responsibilities back home. In my opinion, the atmosphere from some of the people there was less than friendly. After spending so much on the procedure, I expected a certain type of interaction and experience.
My surgery was performed by Dr. Lind and if he was annoyed by me being late, it wasn’t overt. I was able to relax during my procedure and maybe even nap. The numbing process is the worst part of the entire procedure. The procedure felt like a vibration and at times I was ticklish. The day following my procedure I received a follow up phone call from the nurse asking how I was doing, which was appreciated.
I was pretty swollen the day of my follow up which may have been due to me being folded up in my car for 4.5 hours. Even so, I could definitely notice a difference in my body. Dr. Lind said my max results will not be evident for 6 months, which I am okay with because I know all bodies heal differently. My compression garment provided after surgery became too big so the nurse recommended a Houston store where I could buy a new garment, which I did, and it has been better. I am nervous about loose skin, but that was a known risk prior to the procedure so I will just have to wait for final results-I’m being cautiously optimistic. Dr. Lind kept some fat to help lessen the loose skin issue.

The most bruised area was my tailbone. I also had brief bruising in my pubic area and a small bruise on my left flank. The tailbone and flanks have also felt the most tight and uncomfortable. For the first few weeks I slept with a pillow under my knees to relieve some of the pressure on my tailbone. I personally like the snug feeling of the compression garment so I don’t mind wearing it. I have some uneven swelling but was told it should even out and from what I’ve researched, it is not unusual.

I would recommend Dr. Lind because he is a board certified Plastic Surgeon, patient, engaged in conversation with me, was attentive, and I think he did what he thought would give me my best results.

I had my liposuction here in Houston I never received a call from anyone the day before or after procedure. Luckily I have read the papers of what I could do and not do 2 weeks before. During the procedure I did felt some discomfort even some pain. I am now 2 months post op and I see most difference in my back rolls. My abdomen is uneven and my flanks too and I still wear a compression garment. My arms are still fat so I'm guessing I will have to re do. I've excercise at least an our a day 6days a week maybe even more. Mine procedure was done by doctor Dr. Blome I will wait a couple of months to post my weekly pictures.
