I am a 46yo, 5'3" 130lb mom of 1. I am a 30GG. My whole life I have been a 28DDD or 28F. After 40 I gained a few lbs. I am hoping to be reduced to a large B. I play tennis and am pretty active so I am trying to lose 15 lbs before the surgery. My husband is against my BR. But he's letting me get it.

That's the worst feeling!! Mine was delayed TWICE! The first time I burst into tears on the phone with the nurse when she told me. After they delayed the second time I decided to not have my surgery done with them, obviously they didn't have time for me. But I'm March 17th!! good luck! I hope all goes well!!!

Getting excited 20 days till BR
I thought I'd take a few pictures of me before my surgery. After reading a few post op recovery stories, I decided to purchase a few cheap front-close wire-free bras from Walmart. I took some pics in them so I can judge the before and after size. I bought size 34 and 36 which seemed to fit okay in the band. I also took a picture of me in my 30GG bra. I'm not sure why a 36 band size kinda fits. Maybe it's a combo size band/cup. I also purchased 2 ice packs, bio oil, mederma, silicone bandages and gauze pads. I'm worried about after surgery infection. Any ideas.

First of all, congrats! It takes courage to have the surgery. I had it in 2008, to reduce and lift. I also had asymmetrical boobs. One was going down faster than the other (at the time I was also 46). They were not that big, but I wanted them smaller. I went from a 36D to a 34B (It's difficult to get the right US size but I guess that should give you an idea). About surgery infections: I guess I was lucky, since I did not have any problem with that. The first couple of days after surgery were tough, but I left the hospital as soon as I could and kept the area clean.
I just changed bandages regularly and used a post-op bra. After a month they still looked weird and it took about six months before they were sort of "back to normal". I am very happy with the result and would definitely do it again.
I wish you all the best with your surgery and hope it will be successful.

Thank you. I am trying to do everything I know to prepare. Eating healthy etc. I don't smoke so thats a plus. Just makes me nervous how you never know.

It takes a lot of patience, but if you have some discipline, eat healty, keep the area clean, etc... I don't see anything bad happening. Don't forget that even if they won't look that good just after the surgery, it will improve with time. All the best :-)
