4 months post op

4 months... feeling better and looking better. I definitely happy with my results! The only thing still healing is my stomach area. So definitely prepare for that if you are getting your stomach done. Hopefully in the next few months that will be all the way healed. Stay beautiful ladies!

It is hard to take pics in my little mirrors. Hopefully I can upload better pics soon.

So I am finally writing my review!
Surgery- We arrived at my doctors at 7:15 am for surgery. A nurse immediately took me back and checked my hemo, had me take some nausea pills, and pee in a cup for the pregnancy test. Next she had me undress, put on a gown, blue surgery cap, and the blue surgery slippers. My doctor and his surgical fellow came in and started marking me up. He marked me with 2 colors. One where he was planning on taking the fat and the 2nd color is where he was planning on putting the fat. The nurse then took me back put an IV in me. Next the anesthesiologist came in introduced herself, went over a series of questions, and explained what she was going to do and how she would be monitoring me throughout the entire procedure. After that it was time to go. They took me back laid me on the procedure table. They anesthesiologist put a mask on me and next thing I remember was the nurses waking me up and letting me know the were now going to move me to my suite. My doctor has a full facility so the appointment, surgery, and suite are all on site. I got moved to my suite and they brought my bf in, got us both comfortable, and let me know the doctor would be in to check on me before he leaves for the night.
Day 1- Day 1 was not bad at all. I was out most of the day due to the anesthesia and pain meds they gave me a little after my surgery. The only negative on the first day was I kept getting sick due to the anesthesia. I did not have an appetite either but I felt fine and was able to walk around.
Day 2- my doctor came to my suite first thing that morning. Looked over all my incisions and booty. He gave me my instructions for the next week and released me to go home. I wanted to shower so my nurses helped me to my bathroom and gave me towels, etc so I could shower. After I showered the nurses put me in a new garment, helped me get dress, put me in a wheel chair and wheeled me out to my car. I live 3 hours away from where I had my procedure so I laid on my stomach in the back of the car. The car ride was not bad at all.
Day 3-7- My drains sucked! Btw I hated them. I laid in my bed on my stomach all day sleeping and watching tv. I showered once a day and would walk around from time to time but my activity was really limited. I took my pain pills because Needed them to be comfortable. It was not unbearable pain. You really would be ok without the pain medicine but you would be really uncomfortable. The worst part in my opinion are the drains. I wore pajama pants with pockets and put the balls that were collecting my fluid in.
Day 7- I had my first post-op appointment. My doctor removed my drains, gave the ok to remove my stitches, checked my incision sites and went over his next instructions. At this time I had a shelf booty, I was still extremely swollen. My bf said I had a nicki Minaj booty lol. It was huge. I had taken pics to upload but I apologize ladies I lost them when I broke my phone during week 2 so I do not have pics to upload.
My doctor prescribed me a 2nd set of antibiotics to take also.
Day 8-15- I pretty much did the same thing I did the first week. I laid in my bed lol. Every one recovers different I took 2 1/2 weeks off work and I can honestly say I needed them. I did not honestly feel like moving much until my 16 day. I did not have much of an appetite and I was just sore, swollen, and uncomfortable. I also developed a really small serous on my right abdomen which was not enough that my doctor felt needed to be drained so he instructed me to massage my abdomen area several times a day with coconut oil. My incisions sites on my back were healing really slow so he put me on a stronger antibiotic and a prescription cream silverdene that I had to apply 2x a day. So I was showering twice a day during this time so I could clean my incision and apply the cream.
My advice is expect to take your time with recovery. Every one is different but the recovery process can be long and slow. For me I am not recovering as fast as I had hoped. I am still bruised, stiff, sore, etc. I am still not sitting on my booty and lay on my tummy as much as possible. Lipo is no joke. At least for me. My doctor was very aggressive with the lipo. I have no fat on my abdomen or back. So I massage as much as possible. Sorry this was so long but ai really did not feel well enough the first couple weeks to update. I will do an update on driving and returning to work in the next couple days. Hope this helps!
