WORTH IT
I need a highly-skilled doctor to do this job as I do a lot of public speaking. I wanted to get rid of jowls, help some facial scaring and lift my heavy face. I was very picky about my surgeon and came to the USA because of the lack of regulation in Europe as many general doctors are performing plastic surgery with disastrous results. I saw a doctors in London and New York too, but I chose Dr Maloney as I was impressed with his natural results online and in his office. He is board certified and trained at Harvard. An added plus was the fact I got a mini vacation in Tucson - recovering in the sunshine and beautiful desert made this process, which is scary, more enjoyable!

Also, I should I am an American living in Paris, and I wanted to find a doctor to help me as I age and Dr Maloney will be around for this! This was very important in my selection process. Many doctors are too old or too young and too inexperienced, but I found a doctor with just right amount of experience and an appropriate age. On the Euro or Pound, his prices are very favourable. Next, I plan on doing an extensive skin resurfacing to fight wrinkles. I like knowing I have a doctor for my concerns, rather than going from one doctor to the next.

How old are you? You look very young.

Because the first picture is the after picture. IF you look there is a before and you can see the jowls. heavy face. I will be 41, so I am "young", but I have a really heavy face genetically with very thick skin and that equals facial sagging at an early age. Think Melissa McCarthy and put her face on a thin and tall body with a very thin neck. No amount of exercise would help with my chin/ cheeks or heavy lower face. That is/was me, totally. I also have very oily skin, so while I don't have wrinkles, the sagging is way worse than being wrinkly. I needed the "tension" from a lift to help rebuild my contours before ever I do the other stuff like botox, etc. Trust me, I was scared as hell to do such a drastic surgery but it really bothered me. HOWEVER, I would say this though: I had a resurfacing procedure before and that was way worse than this recovery. I will try and find some more before pictures. People who wrinkle can get just get botox and look amazing, but people like me look like bulldogs at a young age. Not fair! I will get the Sciton Contour later to help with my skin texture.

You look great, very neat. I am thinking to do the same thing - I have a similar profile. Did the cut go behind your ear too ? Did 'lipo' alone get rid of the neck skin ? It looks so smooth and defined. Thank you for sharing. Tania

Yes, it did! I really can't believe it. I thought I would have to do the neck lift for sure. I need to take some pics and post them.

Terrific. I'll check back to see the updated photos. Sorry, one last question, did the surgeon cut behind your ear too ?? Thanks heaps. T

I had absolutely no bruising, except for on my neck. I chose not to have the neck lift procedure that some lifts incorporate.

Why is it not worth it?
March 29, 2016
I was recovering and on pain medicine, so I wasn't thinking clearly. I have changed it now! Thanks.

It looks wonderful, very nice stitches too. But I am also curious why,"Not worth it" rating? If it's a mistake you can change it in editing. I really hope traveling so far it is the result you want. Happy healing!

I have since changed it! I wrote this while recovering so my head clearly was not there!
