Am Thrilled with the Results of my Facelift from Dr. Chris Maloney, Tucson!

This photo was taken recently by a photographer friend of mine. Other than contrast, it is unretouched. It is high resolution and you can zoom in. I've let my dermal filler in my under eye zone lapse a little so my look is more natural to my age. After one year, I'm very happy with my neck and jawline. It's relaxed and looks natural in my opinion.

Very happy with my results. Have had some dermal filler to soften my chin area/jawline. This photo is unretouched. I have discovered Silagen silicone gel for scars through my dermatologist. It is a must! It not only helps prevent/break down scar tissue and minimize appearance but also helps immensely with the discomfort of scar tissue.

Your face is much fuller now than it was when you were still swollen in your 4.5 weeks post op pics. How much filler did it take to get the result you have now and what type of filler was used and where? tks, grace

Believe it or not, just one syringe of Restylane Lyft (previously Perlane) was injected on either side of my natural chin and along my jawline each side. Not a lot of filler, but made for a softer, less taut look. I'm sure as my face relaxes over time I won't need this.

You look fabulous...but you also looked good pre-surgery. Do you mind to note your height and weight--I was wondering if you have always been relatively thin without weight fluctuations.

Thank you. I'm 5'7" and weigh 135. Most of my life I've been slim though my weight went up to around 150 when I started to go through menopause. I managed to take that weight off and keep it off a few years ago..

Hi there. You are breathtaking! In fact, your lovely photos first tipped me off to Dr. Mahoney and Feb 13 I am having him do my facelift. I know this sounds like an odd question, but your lips and skin are lovely. I will probably have Dr. Mahoney add fat to my lips. Are your lips filled or are they natural? If filled, what did you use? Also, have you had laser or peels? What have you done to have such lovely skin? Do you have a certain skincare routine? I wish you had a beauty blog! Congrats again on your great outcome.

I apologize as I am only seeing your post and questions now. I hope you FL went fantastic and you are thrilled with the results! Thank you also for the compliments. I get maintenance dermal fillers to keep up with volume loss. I had filler in my lips about 2 years ago and have let it lapse because it can really look unnatural if its not done right. I do get filler around my mouth and chin area to reduce puckering which is a problem i have had since I was in my early 40's. My skincare regimen is Mikelkristi products sold through Skin Appeal in Tucson. They are wonderful and very effective, I highly recommend them! I get a BBL laser treatment about once a year as well. I hope you will post your before and afters!

Feeling really fabulous with my facelift. FYI, muscles involved in the process feel numb as doctor told me they would. Takes several months for the nerve endings to return to normal. Not uncomfortable, just a fact with facelifts...

You look amazing. Does anyone know or suspect you had surgery?
Also, did you have a neck lift as well? Does Dr Maloney call this a full facelift or a mini lift? I am torn between the two as I don't have neck issues but I am sure I will in a few years time. THANKS! xx

Ive told all my close friends and family about it as I'm not trying to hide it. And I'm very upfront (other than outright posting on FB, etc.) about the fact that I get fillers and botox. I want other people, women especially to know that this is not my good genetics and this does not come naturally. I want to look naturally youthful and feel pretty and I acknowledge my vanity. Our culture wants to look young but then attaches a stigma to "having work done" and I want to say yes I've done it and am really happy that I could afford to it. It's unfair not to acknowledge what the natural aging face looks like or to pretend and make others feel like they are unlucky with their aging process. Plus I want women to know, this can be had and what's involved. That's why this forum is so great. As to the surgery specifics, I went into my consultation asking for a neck and jowline lift and Dr. Maloney informed me that this is in fact a facelift. He did not refer to it as a full or mini or midface lift, just a facelift. His facelifts include reworking, rejoining and smoothing out the neck muscles and removing any loose hanging skin as well as pulling up and securing jawline muscles and skin. It helped also to turn up corners of my mouth and give me a more pleasant resting expression. Nothing with the eyes or forehead. That would be blepharoplasty and something else ( I don't know what actually)...

Tucson prices for all of this way better than east or west coast or probably big city prices.

Thanks for your comments. And I 100% agree with you about being upfront about the surgeries, and I wish I could be that way as I hate having secrets, but I unfortunately am not in such a place, work wise, where I can be open. I read Hilary Clinton had a facelift and Barack Obama had a nose job but like them, I couldn't possibly tell anyone, due to the nature of my work. There is no room for vanity and people would frown heavily upon it, that is why I ask if anyone has noticed you had work done. I love that you have a natural result, but I realise I am seeing photos too. I couldn't let anyone at my workplace know or my friends as they are intertwined, but I also want to look better outside as I am super healthy and active. I know that is a difficult question to answer but I am guessing people say "you look like you but younger" etc etc.
But back to the facelift, so your eyes weren't affected by the facelift? That is great, I wouldn't want my eyes tweaked at all. That surgery I think is the most obvious surgery and can go so horribly wrong. For instance, you look a lot like Cindy Crawford but a lot more natural and pretty, as I think she had the eye surgery and to me she looks "done" now. Knock on wood, all went well for you! xx

Thanks for the Cindy Crawford comparison, though I haven't seen a recent pic of her...i get that you can't divulge your youth preserving tactics. So getting subtle, natural look is really important for you. I think a lot of the people that know me already know about the fillers I've been doing for years and probably just suspect I've done more of it. No one has come right out and said, wow you look different or a lot younger (those that are unaware of it). Now I can't read their minds, maybe they are thinking, she's had something done but they don't want to broach the subject because it would be impolite. I can't say that folks around you won't notice a change. I mean hopefully you will look new and improved for your cost and your efforts. It's not something you can predict or even know what people will be thinking after you have it done. Getting dermal fillers is a good way to start this process to get yourself looking younger gradually before you have the face-lift. Then you are looking at much more subtle change..sorry for my rambling...

You are gorgeous! I'm not ready for a face-lift yet but am definitely needing to try filler for mid-face volume loss and eye hollows. What fillers have you been happy with?
March 30, 2016
you look beautiful. is it ok to ask you about pricing? is it comparable to prices in Scottsdale?
April 3, 2016
It was just under $6500 for a "full" face-lift which included my neck. No blepheroplasty (eyes). I think Dr. Maloney's pricing is very fair and less than a lot of what I have seen in the RealSelf forum.
