I have always had fairly heavy lids but the past few years they just seemed heavier and bothered me. The recovery is just that - recovery, so be patient. I did not experience major pain, but it was tough having to sleep propped up. Once you can start sleeping normally, don't freak if you wake up with your eyes a little swollen. This will lessen with time. I wish I had done this sooner! I have gotten so many compliments. People who don't know about the surgery just tell me I look healthier, some ask if I lost weight (that one cracks me up), that I look happier, etc. . . I feel like a new person. Money well spent.

Thank you! I am really happy. I never dreamed I would enjoy this so much. One important thing is that my eyes actually feel better and I don't get tension headaches hardly at all now. I was always raising my eyebrows and didn't realize it! I turn 50 in January and I feel ready now! :-)

Yes, I talked with him and he thought I needed also a forehead lift and only works under general. That would have been rather expensive and I didn't want a forehead lift. When I talked to Dr. Case he said I didn't have enough skin for a forehead lift. Also, he was very quick and somehow just didn't feel right.

If you haven't talked to Dr. Case - make an appointment. I saw three doctors. Dr. Lo would not have even been a choice - which I guess made him third. I even know I don't have enough skin for a brow lift. I cannot imagine doing that sort of procedure under general. One thing I didn't like is I got the impression he was acting like I had a whole lot wrong with me. I'm not Miss America, but look at my pictures, I think I'm doing ok for 50 in 5 months and this is the first thing I've had done. I saw one other doctor, but I felt like she didn't take much time. Maybe she is very good and was just confident of her work, but Dr. Case took time and I felt totally at ease with him. Best wishes.

Hi you look so great! I wonder if you could post a photo so we can see your upper lids more? Maybe with your head leaning back a little would be helpful.
The reason I ask is because I wanted to see how much of your lids is now visible and where your crease/incision was made. Seems like some doctors, like mine ( who took way too much of my heavy lid skin so that they still feel tight after several months)
need to have a lesson from your Doctor!
