At age 40, I've never really had eyelids, but the deterioration of collagen has made the task of seeing difficult. I was raising my eyebrows all the time just to see. I have deep forehead lines as a result. The final straw was when I was cycling and literally could not see the road through my sagging eyelids. I'm slightly worried that the lids I have now are a bit much for a face that never had lids. I'll update as I heal.

Don't worry-the lids get better when the swelling goes. Can take months to settle tho' (sorry!) I actually think it looks pretty good for 7 days.

I think you look great after only 7 days out! I see an improvement. How do you feel?

I think they will be fine. If they stayed just as they are they look fine to me. But if you are worried that the lateral lid looks more "open" than you were expecting that margin will narrow with time. It always seems to and if it is not over corrected then it looks hooded at final healing.

You liik great 7 days out. Im 9 days out and wished mine looked as good. My face is a hot mess totally asymetrical ughhhh.p/m and i can send you pictures. My doctor tells me it will take months for swelling and things to settle..... Heres PRAYING

I've heard that we go through a depression phase around this time. I'm hiding from everyone! I totally recommend pineapple it helps so much with the swelling. I knawed on the core- that's where the anti-swelling properties are. I'm still so unsure!

Me too, mine are way worse than yours. I just bought a fresh pineapple yesterday.i guess i will be trying it. I totally am depressed. I guess its vanity and im hiding toi. Funny you should mention i did put make up today. Just to see. Foundation, lipstick, eyebrow and eyeliner on lower lid and blush nothing on actual lid. Made me feel alittle bit better. Still totally asymetric but better. My dr says the face is hardest to heal. We will see

Takes time for the skin of the lids to relax. You are still swollen. You look great and I think you will be happy. Congratulations!

You look super. Your before & after photos popped up side by side on my newsfeed (I'm following your progress), and the result is stunning, lucky you! Just hold on the makeup till Doc say it's ok - you don't want any reaction at this stage when you've come so far.

No swollen? Mine was swollen for a while. You look great! And the crease does come down as the time goes by...

It can be an adjustment but aesthetically you have a huge improvement. It looks like you barely bruised, lucky lady! I'm glad you started your story with us and I hope you update as you continue to heal.
