IUD removal.

So this is D day to get my IUD removed. Per my previous post, my problem is hormonal hence the rest of my body is getting smaller but my back is still the same size as when I was 40lbs heavier. I've been meaning to remove my IUD anyway, so I'm not just doing it for weightloss, but the back fat was the catalyst in getting it removed now instead of next year. At this point I have nothing to lose. Coolsculpting robbed me of $1 500, an IUD removal through my gynecologist is only going to cost me $40... it's worth a shot :-)

I also noticed about two weeks back that I'm not symmetrical anymore. Looking in the mirror, my one side is straight and the other curves in. I noticed when I was trying to wear a form fitting top. Thanks coolsculpting, now I really regret it! (I've attached a picture)

3 month mark, no change

I reached 3 months two days ago and I still have no changes.

I hot a call from ideal image for my three month update and "after pictures." After re-reading my contract and many other reviews about them I decided it would be a waste of my time, gad, and energy to go there as I will not get a refund. I would also like to leave it behind me and start finding other methods rather than focusing on my losses.

I've done a lot of research online, and this could be a long shot but I'm going to try it and see if it works for me; I've been on various forms of hormonal birth control since my teen years. Back fat is a hormonal cause (so I've read) do my next step is to have my IUD removed, give it a few months and see. At this point I have nothing to lose. Reading a lot into it made me feel positive it'll work.

Before anyone replies that I need to "diet and exercise" please read ALL my previous posts again. I exercise everyday-even on holiday. I am very fit. I track ALL my exercises on my fitbit app, and my gym's own personal app. I log ALL my meals everyday on myfirnesspal I have logged onto myfitnesspal for 315 days straight. I eat 1600 calories a day and burn 2500. I do not eat anything with sugar in it (not even fruit, honey, juice or milk) I have lost weight, just not the back fat. It is not a diet issue, it is a stubborn fat issue that is not responsive to diet and exercise. If someone has had the same issue, please share. If you are going to tell me to log my meals or exercise please refer back to the beginning of this paragraph. It gets annoying that there is always the one that says that even though that's not my problem.

I'm sorry to come off as grumpy, I'm just exhausted from trying.

I have a strong feeling it is from my IUD as it's a hormonal issue. My plan B ( no pun intended) is liposuction. I am a long ways off from being able to afford it, particularly because I'm still paying off the failed coolsculpting, but I am saving up for it.

I hope that the next time I update my review, I will be sharing some good news.

Thank you very much for the supportive posters, you've helped me feel better.

If you are considering coolsculpting, read my post. I was very hopeful at the beginning!

Thank you everyone for your kind words and support. I know someone else told me to wait at least two months to see results. This is the two month mark.

I have lost 10lbs from DIET and EXERCISE since July, making my total weight loss so far 40lbs. I have also dropped a dress size from a US 10 to a US 8 (my original dress size when I started my diet last October was a US 14). My weight loss is slow but it is going and I am very proud of myself for my self restraint and will power, I did it the slow hard way. The one area I "cheated" with and went for coolsculpting is the one area I am still struggling with. I still have back fat. Coolsculpting claims to help with "problem areas that are not responsive to diet and exercise" I am the ideal candidate for this because that is all I wanted it for. It did NOT work for me.

Have you ever heard of the children's story The Emperor's New Clothes? This is exactly what this is. It is a trick, you spend so much money on it so it must work right? They tell you how well it works, so it must work right? It's all mind tricks. The mirror doesn't lie.

To say how disappointed I am would be a great understatement. $1,500 is a lot of money to just flush down the toilet. I am still paying off monthly for a procedure that did absolutely nothing for me! My latest payment was just ten minutes ago and I clicked "submit payment" with a very heavy heart. It is not worth the chance to see if it may or may not work for you. At $1,500 something needs to be guaranteed to work with no ifs or buts!

This is a great lesson, I let my impatience get the best of me. If you are impatient I would suggest getting liposuction- at least we all know that you WILL get results that way. I myself am too scared and too broke for lipo; It is too invasive a surgery for someone that doesn't NEED surgery. This is why I was initially swayed by coolsculpting instead.

I will still update after three months and when I reach my goal weight from diet and exercise.

I hope that by writing this I can save one person the sheer and utter disappointment that I am feeling right now.

They made me feel as comfortable as possible during the procedure, gave me an opportunity to ask many questions and were warm and friendly. I will definitely go there again in the future. The only negative is that appointments are only made by one person and only on a Monday. I had my consultation last week, and had to wait for a phone call on Monday. I tried to call at 11am on Monday morning and they told me to wait for them to call me which they didn't until about 4:30pm. I can't have my phone at work, and I didn't want to miss the call and have to wait for another week so I had to keep going into the back room just to check it, it was ridiculous. That's the only reason I cannot rate them 5 stars. Update: 10/04/16 since ideal image never offers a refund and they don't care about you once they find out that the procedure didn't work, I have amended my star rating of them.
