Feeling great, have full range of motion now without any pulling or uncomfortableness. All but the largest blister scab from my reaction to the steristrips has fallen off and things are looking great... I can’t wait for that last scab to heal though. And for my breasts to soften, of course. They just keep getting better and better! Tried

Glad you’re feeling great. Your shape looks beautiful! I’m curious to know what kind of dressing you are using on your blister. I think it’s a good idea to keep cover like you’re doing. I guess you know to also be careful when changing them out so you don’t pull on the wound. I hope it heals soon. Happy healing! :-)

thanks! I am using a sterile, non stick gauze to cover the blister and although my doctor said I don’t need to use any ointments or anything, I did my own research and decided to use some bacitracin to help keep it moist. hopefully that was a smart choice, guess I’ll find out soon enough.

Hi again, I used Aquaphor (a non-antibiotic ointment) or vaseline to keep my “nonstick” dressings moist. I’m not an M.D. but I would avoid antibiotic ointments such as bacitracin (unless you have an infection) as they can also cause irritation which is not great for scarring. One thing to keep in mind is antibiotics kill the good bacteria in addition to the bad bacteria. So you really don’t want to use them unless you have an infection, imo. Of course it’s best to consult with your PS regarding what you put on your wounds. Hope you don’t mind my two cents on the subject. Good luck. :-)

great to know, thanks! a week ago, I was very red and irritated around the blister but it improved almost immediately after I started using the ointment. now, things have calmed down so I probably should stop using it. I will grab some aquaphor, thanks again!

Thank you. it’s been almost two weeks! are you using any scar cream or tape? your incisions look perfect.
March 7, 2018
I’m not using anything yet but my surgeon recommended silicone strips once my incisions are healed. my left is probably ready but my right is still healing :/

I may have missed it in the posts, but can I ask what your bra size ended up being? They look perfect!!
May 8, 2018
I actually just bought my first real bra a couple of days ago. 32DD at Victoria Secret. Bigger than I had hoped for but all around, proportional to my frame.

Things are going pretty well with my recovery... I go back and forth about the size and regretting going so “big”. But everyone I talk to about it says they look great and fit my body well and I just realized i haven’t stressed about the size in a few days so maybe I’m starting to adjust. They also don’t feel quite so heavy and today was the first day I washed them without being completely terrified of my own hands. I think they’re starting to become mine.
There was a set back - I developed an allergic reaction to the steristrips, which caused the skin under the strips to blister. I had no idea until the strips came off and when I saw the blisters, especially the large one on my right vertical incision, I was a bit crushed. However, it’s been 5 days since the strips came off and all of the blisters have scabbed and most are starting to fall off. I haven’t noticed any of them scarring so I’m optimistic about the biggest blister.
As for my incisions, they are incredibly thin and if not for the blister scabs, which are all the black marks you see (there are a ton!) i would barely be able to see them. My left breast is a bit bigger than my right but that changes daily, sometimes they’re the same size and when they are, I can see that the nipples are symmetrical. I also had some stretch marks pre surgery so those are more noticeable now but they’ve already faded/softened some so I know they’ll only continue to improve.
Overall, I’m still happy with my surgery and today, at least, I love my new breasts. Best money I’ve ever spent!

1 week update

Today marks one week since my bl & tomorrow is my follow up. I’m excited to see what my ps has to say. Today was also the first time I’ve left my house or driven since my surgery and it was probably the first day I wasn’t completely exhausted after preparing a meal or even taking a shower.
