Well, story goes my ex-husband cheated on me with a lady who had big boobs. So, upon divorce I got saline 360cc put in in 2006. After nursing our baby and getting to 113 lbs. I literally had jr. sized breast tissue that was stretched out and withered. 12 years later, I’m scared of what the reflection will be when I look at my breasts without the implants having 3 more pregnancies and nursed 3 children all to a little less than 2. My kids are always having colds/fevers/runny noses. Not sure if the silicone outer shell breaking down had anything to do with it, or the effect these bags may have had on them in utero. My eldest daughter now nearly 16 never got anywhere near as sick as these kids, and still doesn’t. It could be other factors as well... mold in my air ducts or environmental, what we consume? N E How, in search of ultimate health. My left side has numbness tingling when I sit up straight (thoracic outlet syndrome I’ve been told), my hair is falling out(slowly but still happening), and I lose my train of thought, I can’t do a single push up anymore. Oh and my face has aged significantly. Here’s to an opportunity of detox and for me to hopefully put this ill past behind me. I am vain but I’m really really looking forward to the possibility of no more neck pain, my under arm lymph node going away, oh and I have a growth in my uterus (Dr. Says it’s like a mole indicating my uterus is old... ok... I’m 36 so I guess that’s fair) etc. I am scheduled for explant on April 20, 2018. My current husband is faithful but I have broke down on occasion asking him if he will still think I’m sexually appealing. I know that sounds awful but I’m not sure I will feel sexy. Plus probably some remnant damage from the first clown. Dr. Maxwell repairs the muscle under the skin and all of the scar capsule surrounding the implant is removed. So far I feel very confident in her abilities to help accomplish the most esthetic results possible without a lift. She says she does approximately 6 implant removals per week. Options later if I’m unable to feel like myself are a fat graft to the breasts. Quoted about $4000 for that. I’m not a rich woman but I opened this can of worms! Please be kind with your responses this is a fragile story for me and if you are reading, I’m sharing to let you know you are not alone. Sorta want you to hold my hand threw this and you hold mine. Nothing but love to you!

Best of luck to you! Talk to several doctors about fat transfer. It is a very new and unpredictable treatment. I'm also mother of two with 10 year implants I'm so ready to remove. I want to run or play with kids without discomfort. I'm worried about recovery time.

Thank you for your insight, I really appreciate it. Prayers your path is blessed!!
April 27, 2018
Thank you! I agree. It’s a very new procedure and I heard the results don’t last forever anyways. I think I will go for the explant and see how I look before making any decisions about that. Thanks for the advice!

I am going to have a consultation with Dr. Maxwell and I have a similar situation. I have 16 year old implants. I was completely flat before with hardly any breast tissue, and I’m worried about what my stretched out skin will look like, the scar, and if I will feel so insecure afterwards. I would love to see your after photos. My consultation isn’t until May, but I would like to have the explant done by June. I did not nurse but I have had 3 pregnancies since my implants were put in as well. I am also over 30lbs heavier than I was back then so I’m wondering if I have any real breast tissue under there. I’d love to keep in touch.

Yes, let’s do! It’s so hard esthetically to make this decision! Hand in hand we all want healthy lives. I’m about 15 lbs heavier.... so worried, so excited....

Oh good! She seems fantastic and there is another gal on this site who had great results with her. I will keep you posted! Hope you are meant to feel this look no further you have found who and what you are looking for feeling that I did at Dr. Maxwell’s. Please keep me/us posted as well. Did you already start your story? I’m going to see:)

Typo: Remove the “are meant to feel”:)

I am sorry I haven’t posted in so long. Life is busy with my 4 boys, work, life etc. I’d love to still support one another. I met Dr. Maxwell and I like and trust her. I put down my deposit and I’m scheduled for surgery on June 13th!!! I’m really scared!

I haven’t started my story yet. I have my photos I got from Dr. Maxwell, but I’m still trying to be brave enough to post them. BTW your breasts after surgery look amazing!!!! After only 5 days they look really beautiful with your own natural breasts. I’m surprised you are a 34 A because they look larger in the pic. I am hopeful I will look similar to you when I am done, but I had much much smaller breasts initially. However, I’ve gained 30-35 pounds since then so I’m hopeful they will be a little larger. Are yours any larger than when you first had them implanted? I promise to post my pictures before surgery so you can see. It feels too real for me now that I put down the deposit and it’s onky about 6 weeks away. Nervous!!!
April 27, 2018
I was smaller prior to now. So that’s good news for you! Especially since you have gained more than I have. Boobs are essentially fat in the right place so, prayers that works to your advantage. I think you are going to be pleasantly surprised what can happen to your young body and its ability to heal and strengthen itself. I know that nervous feeling. I wanted to find someone’s story exactly like mine! :) Patiently waiting your posts. Just think of it as our helping someone. That’s essentially what this site is designed for.

Assassin with you girl! Getting my 350ccout next month....after 18 yrs.! Scary...a little , but I was 36a pre, now 36d. We shall see. I am having it with local/ twilight. Cleaning up the capsule..that's all. No lift,no replacement...praying for great results. I'll follow your progress. Good luck to you.

Sorry...really don’t know what I typed there! Just was re-reading my posts and noticed. The first line, I have no idea. Guess I had better check what I type before I post it. Sorry again. Well both be explanting around the same day, so here’s to us( and all the others) hoping for the perfect outcome, which no matter what we’ll be ourselves again, right?

I loved your response! So encouraging! I’ll be praying for you too!!! Thank you for your kind words! Cuh53, you ROCK!

Bugsme 2017, although I am MUCH older than you, ( I'm 63), I had an explant and lift 8 months ago. Had my implants in for about 15 years. You will be amazed at what a transformative experience getting rid of these implants is! And you will probably be pleasantly surprised at how good you look and how much your own tissue bounces back. And trust me, 36 is NOT old!! Just be patient as it can take up to a year to see what your breasts are finally going to look like. This is a wonderfully supportive community of other women who have been through the same experience. Your body will thank you for having the courage to go through with this! Good luck!

Thanks Dogmama! I read through your story and it seems like life has really taking a turn for wonderful for you and yours! I hope I have the same directional turn. I’m currently in an anxiety state. Time for prayers. This load is a bit heavy for me at times! ;)

I am having my removal April 23rd 2018. I have had 650 cc implants for 18 years, so all of my 30's and 40's, I am 48. I was almost talked into getting smaller ones with lift, but after the ultra sound showed silicone on my muscle and lymph nodes, I said OUT! And if anyone doesn't like them, including my hubby, they can kiss my ass! Best of luck

Power to you! Health over beauty in my case. Motivated to grow in another aspect. The body, mind, and spirit has a way of compensating. Such a marvelous design we humans are. Truly sorry to hear about the silicone in places it shouldn’t be. Please post your journey. Prayers for you. You are a shining example of a what a woman who loves herself and others around her looks like!

Surgery is paid in full. Getting a dose of antibiotics through my IV during surgery (never had that before), a medicine patch for nausea after the general anesthesia, a non-opioid pain reliever, a through body wash with a surgical antibiotic soap they provide needs to be used when I wash up and prep myself prior to surgery. Got my comfy button top Pj set coming in the mail. And I was given the 411 on how to use my drains. Geesh! It’s happening! Ready or not here it comes! I love riding my bike! I look forward to the possibility that my hand numbness is greatly contributed to these. Oh they are heavy! 360cc of saline weights at least a lb each. Felt them in the PS office.

Be sure to wash your new pj's before wearing them! The dyes can be very harsh on your skin!

Purchased the recommended Arnica Montana 30x HPUS and Bromelain with Quercetin. Both are to help heal and reduce inflammation. I’m impressed! These are natural. Not to many Dr’s keeping up with the natural trends. I would have loved a pain killer that was marijuana based but I guess we aren’t there yet. I’m getting Tramadol because I don’t do well with my other options.

good luck!!! I want to schedule my explant soon too! ordered BLM & Agilease from young living for collagen, glucosamine and ani inflammation properties. All natural. Hopefully this will help the healing process!

Sounds like you have a great advantage being so wise on what to purchase. Good for you girl! Hope you have a very successful journey!

Did you decide on lift? No lift? Fat transfer? I'm so up in the air on all of those decisions.
April 12, 2018
And best of luck and hopeful for a quick recovery!
April 13, 2018
I’m really leaving into the expertise of Dr. Maxwell. She advised no lift based on an ideal nipple location 1 1/2 inches on one side and 2 inches on the other. She recommended waiting at least 6 months before the fat graft due to it taking better. Also to give me time to adjust and not make an unnecessary move. She really has a fantastic way of expressing genuine well being of the patient, me;) This is all going to change if I have shriveled up prunes! Then I may ask to speed up the fluffy fairy process as one RealSelf ladies put it!

So happy that you have a reliable, professional doctor. Wishing all the best.
