So after thinking about getting a BA for over a decade and going on 2 consults last year I finally bit the bullet and scheduled my surgery. I've always thought I could use a little more up top, but was worried about what others would think or what if I didn't like it in the end? After reading so many reviews it really seems that so many girls are glad they did it after feeling the same way beforehand.
Last year I went to a consult with Dr Maxwell and also Dr Moenster in Tucson. I wanted to have a female surgeon so I sought those two out. At my first with Dr Maxwell I felt very welcomed and it was very relaxing in the waiting room as well as the exam room. They took pictures so that we would have something to start with and then she took measurements and had recommendations. I don't remember what exactly she suggested at that appointment - I think in the low 300 range. Since I had read that it was a good idea to get another opinion, I scheduled a consult with Dr Moenster. I was able to bring my husband to that one and he got to hear most of the same information that I already knew from before. The office there was nice, however I felt more clinical (which I suppose is a good feeling since it is a surgery), however it seemed more rushed and more like I was just another number. I vaguely remember being suggested that I go for something in the 400-450 range to get where my "wish boobs" were. This was quite a bit of a difference from the first consult so I was a little bit confused as to which was right. I don't remember which type of implants Dr Moenster uses so I'm sure that played into the difference.
Fast forward to this year and I made a consultation appointment again with Dr Maxwell back in mid January. I really liked being able to use the vectra imaging this time around and it was easier to see how things might look instead of a profile in a bra. We looked at several options and I left with printouts of the Natrelle Inspira SRF365 and SRM360. I think the higher profile will be better for me as I want some cleavage toward the front. I have been looking now to see if I should get a slightly larger implant as according to vectra my BWD is 14.3, which seems fairly large and I've never thought I was that wide.

Since seeing others before and after photos on here has been really helpful I've finally gotten around to that. Here are several shots to give others an idea of what I'm starting with.

Vectra imaging from first consultation

Since I was able to get Vecrta imaging done I'll post those photos here as well. The first one is just a measurement of my anatomy. This claims I have a 13.4cm BWD, but that seems rather large. I measured today using calipers and discovered my left is 12.5cm and right is 12.0cm. This might slightly change what I can fit in there, but as long as I'm not afraid to go to the ultra high profile I should be okay. I was at first scared of the idea of anything more than 300 or so, but now reading all the reviews I almost wonder if 400 is big enough for a gal as tall as I am. I know at some point in the future they'll have to be redone (hopefully more than 10 years) so if I want I can always go bigger then.
They gave me a printout of the SRM (moderate profile) 360 and also the SRF (full profile) 365 to get an idea of how each would look. There was a side view in the office so the projection was slightly different but not by much. Probably because the volume just isn't that huge. (4.2cm vs 4.9cm projection).
After getting home and reading about boob greed and how I can probably handle a larger cc size I started looking at the natrelle chart to see what I could accommodate with my BWD. Looks like if I want to keep it within the 12.5BWD and the full profile I can probably handle up to a SRF415.

Agreed!!! you can totally handle 415 sister! I am also tall, and tall women can pull off larger sizes because of our height and her chest cavity is. And between a 365 to 415 is actually not a huge amount anyways. I think it be really happy with the 415! That’s what I am leaning to get as well! I am 5’9”....150lbs....My BWD is only 11 but I can go up to 1.75 cm higher and that puts me in the 415 to 450 range. Only because of my height. That would never be recommended for women who are more petite than us. It’s really fascinating how all the mechanics and all the measurements work out in this! I’ve learned so much the last two months on this website and so grateful for it! When is your surgery again?

Its interesting how it works out that we can handle a larger implant. I never though of my chest as being large (width) but it must be. Too bad the other part of it never caught up. I always feel weird having to buy medium pants and small or xs shirts.
