FIRST! I want to thank all you ladies out in Real Self land for posting your journey's. It has helped me sooooo much! I like so many stalked this site for a long time before I began my own journey. This is my story short and sweet.

I can't believe it's been 4 weeks already. I am feeling great, going back to work has been fine and I am patiently (NOT) waiting for the OK to go back to the gym. I still can't believe how different I look and how much better I look in my same clothes.
The first week was rough, not too much pain just so limited to what you can do and slow moving. I am thankful my hubby took the week off. We have young kids and it was nice to not have to worry about them. OMG if I laughed or coughed YIKES!. My PS has patients keep drains in for 10days, I didn't leave the house for 10 days!!!! I was starting to go stir crazy and found all sorts of ways to pin up the drains.
After the drains were removed I felt instantly better. I was off doing errands with my oldest since I couldn't pick up much.
The third week I went back to work and started walking. Did all my regular errands and cleaned up the house. No serious cleaning.
I had my 4 week f/u last Friday and I still have to wait until 6wks to run and I need to wear my CG for at least 6 weeks also.
SWELLING!!! For the most part my swelling has been moderate. I definitely see and feel the swelling the most at the end of the day. With that said I wake up mildly swollen and go to bed moderately swollen. I know my swell friend is gonna hang out a while but like the rest of you lovely ladies... I can't wait for it to go away!!!!
I had many ups and downs through the process but no emotional breakdowns. I think I was so ready and excited to have this done I have felt mostly happiness and relief.
I have wanted this for a very very long time, 20 years people! BUT I knew that I needed to be done having children. I was 40 when my last baby was born and she is 5 now.
I am thankful for a great husband and family that has helped me through this process. My PS has also been wonderful. He is available to his patients ANY time day, night and on weekends.
