I had a rhinoplasty with this man over 3 years ago. Original concerns: large dorsal hump with droopy tip. Slight bulbous tip. Results: healing sucked obvious but I waited a good long time to see the evolution of what my nose would be. Three years later and I have an extremely crooked nose, scooped bridge, scar tissue at the top near my eyes, and a long Pinocchio nose that curves to the right. Not even going to consider going back to him for a revision. He was nothing short of dissapointing. Barely got to know me or explain his work, in retrospect this was my fault for not pursuing a more skilled surgeon . I just wanted this done since I was 12 and he was conveniently close, affordable, and had good reviews and many pictures of successes. He literally sucks. As a person he just brushes you off. He didn't call to check up aside from the appointment I had to remove my cast I never heard from him again. He's clearly in it for the money and nothing else. Stay away. I'll not even consider him as a candidate if i decide to get a revision later in life. Awful.

Just wanted to update this a bit. For those who care I had posted three years ago about my original experience and immediate results. Three years later and I can't even find that post. Oh well. Thanks for the comments. I do want to make it clear that to me, my results are not horrible. I had seen a woman call my post a horror story and to be honest, I'm still living my life and I know I'm an attractive person. I want to address the fact that although I am NOT happy with my results (because I went through surgery for this and expected that to be that) I know I'm not some horribly disfigured person! Lots of people have crooked noses or worse, I'm just pissed that I paid good money and still ended up with one! I don't think I'll get revision for myself as my front view and side views are fine, hardly anyone sees me from the top. It's annoying and a huge [RS bleep] off but it's not ruining my life. I just wanted to post on here to show people what three years later can look like, my nose looked crooked right after surgery and looking back at pics I see that now, I assumed it was swelling and since I gave it years to see results I wanted to share that with you all :)

Also, I don't want this to put anyone off of having a rhino. I'm glad my dorsal hump is gone and don't miss it at all. I just want to specifically warn others to stay away from dr golden because he did a shitty job all around as a surgeon and person. Get what you want done, but go with someone better :)

Did you go back for a revision? I'm curious to see what he would say. He thinks the sun shines out his own ass so he probably blamed you I assume. I'm not even interested in going back for mysekf

You're front view looks great! I remember reading your story. I also need a revision but think I'm ok without it too. I'm glad to see you've come terms with your results and understand you are so much more than an imperfection!

did he tell you whats causing the crookedness? I'd be interested to know because i am having the same problem and i think my strut graft wasn't put in straight and its making the alar cartilage bulge because of it. I want some minimal surgery done to fix it but i definitely cannot bring myself to have another major surgery :(

In examining on my own it seems like my septum is actually straight, from the bottom my nose looks straight. It seems to be uneven amounts of tissue on my left and right side of the nose making it look fuller on one side and therefore crooked. I'm not an expert but that's what I looks like to me. I'm not going to ask him I'll ask another doc if I ever decide to "fix" it.

ill be keen to hear what another surgeon says. Mine told me that my septum is going back to its position and its causing it to be crooked. I feel its the graft he misplaced not the septum. They will say anything to blame the patient rather their own substandard work. Good luck with it all. Keep me posted on progress x

I think you nose looks great from the front, but I totally understand your feelings about the top view of your nose. I had to laugh out loud about your "...sun shines out his..." comment. Can I quote you? lol!

I think you are being waaaay too hard on yourself. I would do anything to have your nose. It is very symmetrical nostrils, thin nose, nothing awkward about it, even with the incredibly minor issue. It is far from a botched nose job. You look great, honestly. The issue you see is probably so much more noticeable to you than anyone else. Trust me. I had a nose job with Dr. Pensler (in 2006) and a revision (in 2009) and mine looks much worse than yours.
