Ever since 5th grade, I began to notice how large my nose was in comparison to everyone else's, but of course, being Greek AND Chaldean, such a thing comes with the territory. Though I understood that, I was still extremely self-conscious. Having a large and crooked nose stopped me from doing normal things like taking pictures or even turning to the side, in hopes that no one would see the large hook and hump in the center of my face. As I got older, I did not even want to go out. This was an issue make up could not fix. Unfortunately, even my sister felt this way about her nose as well. My mom began to look for Rhinoplasty Surgeons in the Metro Detroit area for my sister. Since my sister is older than me, she would be the first to undergo any rhinoplasty surgery, which was fine with me because that meant I did not have to be the guinea pig (joking only a little). Anyway, my mother searched for what seemed to be months for the perfect plastic surgeon, and when comparing doctors, no one impressed her more than Dr. Theodore Golden. Dr. Golden, bless his heart, is kind, honest, and confident. Not only that, but he is genuinely concerned and caring when it comes to his patients. Although all of those traits are extremely admirable in this line of work, the two traits that I find most important when searching for a plastic surgeon, and what I hope everyone else finds important when searching for a plastic surgeon, is the honesty and confidence factor. I don't know about you, but I want my surgeon to tell me exactly like it is. I don't want any sugarcoating involved. If I have a terrible nose, tell me, if I do not need a nose job at all, which of course wasn't my case, tell me, Dr. Golden would do just that if it meant he was telling the truth. A man not in it for the money, but a man in it for assisting those who come to him in the most honest way possible. Now for the confidence factor: A good surgeon knows what he or she is doing and is confident in their craft, so much so that he gives the patient second-hand confidence as well. Now whether it's because Dr. Golden has had 30 years of experience or because he preformed over 5,000 rhinoplasty procedures, Dr. Golden is confident in his work, so much so that he could probably do it in his sleep (which I will assure you he would never do). My sister and I are just two of the very many people who are absolutely ecstatic about our new noses and feel very blessed to have found Dr. Golden.
Now onto the nose, I LOVE IT. It has only been a month and one week and I feel and look like a whole new person. It is still VERY swollen but nowhere near as big as my nose used to be which is great. It look so natural people could tell there was something different about me but they couldn't put their finger on it, which is so perplexing because it's a brand new, amazing nose. The natural look is great because I do not want to look plastic, but who does? Dr. Golden accommodated my every need after surgery between coming in after hours just to see me and check my nose, to coming into the office on days he did not even have to work just to answer questions or clean my nose out. My experience with Dr. Golden was nothing but a pleasure and I am so happy with the outcome. I cannot thank him enough and I cannot wait to see what my nose is like in the months ahead.

Dr. Golden is the best doctor I have ever worked with and the only doctor that is allowed to do anything to my face.
