I'm 27 and have acne prone skin. I mostly breakout during my menstrual cycle. I've had acne since i was 16 and it got a lot better but i still break out from time to time. Along with acne i had moderate scarring mostly on my cheeks. This was my first time ever using a laser for the scar removal. I was scared but ultimately i knew if i ever wanted better skin i had to do it. Before the procedure we did numbing cream on my face and a dental block. The procedure lasted about 45 minutes and even though the esthetician described the pain i was still taken by surprise. It hurt like hell i'd defiantly take something STRONG before getting it done. For me personally it was almost unbearable. But i made it! Immediately after it feels like ur face is on fire for a few minutes no one can prepare you for how it feels but, you'll most likely have a fan which helps a lot. It only lasts a few minutes. First day i bled quite a bit i had to put vaseline on my face and do vinegar and water soaks. Day two my face stopped bleeding and started to kind of scab up a little. I was the most swollen on day 2 i didn't even look like myself. Day three i was a little less swollen but still pretty bad. More scabbing. Day four swelling started to go down and my scabs started to fall off. And then the itching began. The itching was the worst for me from day 4-7 i had to take sleeping pills to sleep it itched so bad. Don't scratch it! I increased the amount of vinegar soaks i did a day i started doing them every hour. It helped a little. From day 4-7 it was all itching and scabs falling off also the swelling went down completely. It's now day 7 and i'm completely peeled and my face looks great. I'm still red but it will go away in time. This process was very hard for me but so worth it. I look younger whatever wrinkles i had are gone. My acne scars and pore sizes improved. I still have scars it's not perfect but it will continue to heal. I might need to do it once more but for now it already looks great. It feels never ending at first but when ur done it feels great!
