Dry as the desert
WORTH IT
A month later and my lips are still pretty dry and peel. I keep moisturizing lip balm on them pretty much all day. I can't even put regular lip stick on the much less anything matte. I was told by the office not to massage my lips so I hadn't exfoliated at all. I think that might help but I don't want to mess anything up. Hopefully by my next follow they will be better so I get the green light to exfoliate.

3 weeks
It's a few days over three weeks and I wanted to share some better before and after photos. Please pay no mind to how rough my makeup looks, especially in the before photo. The photos are from my doctors office who has the best camera that picks up everything.
My lips are absolutely beautiful and perfect. I'm a little nervous that they could be still a little swollen and might go down a bit. I've been practicing my mouth exercises which has really helped me get full functioning back including smiling. I've avoided smiling until this week because it was just awkward. It looked like it hurt even though it didn't.
One thing I wanted to mention is they are still pretty dry. I won't dare use any drying lipstick yet. Even gloss looked odd cause they are so dry they peel. I've been using full on moisturizing lip balm mostly. I used a little lip liner just for color today. I don't know why it's like that but it's manageable.
I can feel the implants with my fingers I think because I know it's in there. It's becoming more and more normal feeling though. My husband said he doesn't feel them at all when we kiss.
I'm still so glad I did this. It made so much sense financially. Love them. If you're thinking about doing this because you like the look with filler I highly recommend this.

your lips look great! Thanks for sharing your story as I'm thinking about getting mine done.
Thank you! I think it's definitely a great choice for lips!!
Can you please share what size you used? Thank you :) Beautiful!
Hi! I got 5mm in both. I'm so glad I did because I still believe they might be a little swollen still and will go down a tad bit more. I tried filler before this so I knew how they might eventually look. Hope this helps!
How much was this procedure?

All healed up
The incisions are all healed up. I haven't taken any updated photos because not much has changed but it is nice to have the little stitch nubs gone. Makes me so happy.
