One day until my six week mark and the time has gone by quickly. I’m sleeping just fine in bed on my side and my binder on loosely. Tomorrow I’m cleared for real exercise, but I’ve been doing a bit of walking on my treadmill for practice!

You look great! Healing nicely! I think You're a day ahead of me. I've been getting around more in the last week or so, been mostly trying to be a couch potato and heal and rest to the fullest. Good to see you doing so well :)

Isn’t it just too easy to be chill and hope for the body to do its part and heal!?!? I feel like my ass has doubled in size while I wish it away, lol!

Drains are out, stitches are out and I’m feeling pretty good. I showered all by myself and even shaved my legs! It made me feel like a real person again. :)
The majority of the stitches will resolve over time and I’m not messing with the tape at all. Next appointment with the doctor is about 2 weeks away and hopefully he will continue to give me good news. I’m doing bits and pieces of cleaning around the house, but that’s it for any real physical exertion and I’m avoiding salty food. So I haven’t had any real swelling, yet....

Thank you so much for your information. How are you doing now? How has the healing process been?

Thanks for commenting!
The process was a lot quicker than I thought it would be, thankfully! The 1st week was dreary with meds and figuring out how to move without hurting myself. I feel more comfortable now, especially with my binder on (probably because my muscles aren’t fully healed yet) and working on getting the scar healed up. The doc said I can exercise starting tomorrow, 6 weeks post op, but I should expect to deal with some swelling. I will post more pics to show the flat tum soon.

Went in for my post op and had one drain removed. It was producing very little the entire time so it was a good call to have it removed. I had bandages over my incision area and accidentally created a blister. Thankful to have all the stuff off and now just a long tank under the compression garment. Still on antibiotics for a few days, but have cut down on pain meds and feel almost normal. Just need to stand up straight and get stitches out!
