Not Worth It for Me
So I'm in my early 50's with some jowls :/ I've had success with fillers over the years so was happy to try the "liquid facelift" to fill in the jowl area. That lasted about 6 weeks. The swelling from injections probably gave the best result. I researched some more and found ultherapy may be an option to tighten my lower face and address the jowls. I was told by the office rep it can have good effects but no guarantee. She had a nurse come to the office for a consult and she mimicked this response. I was given a discount if I put a down payment for a treatment. I did. I had the treatment to my entire face (about 1 hour 45min). My jawline and brow line were the most sensitive areas (really hurt) the rest was definitely okay - easy to tolerate. I was told the results would show themselves over time. If I didn't see improvement right away to wait. It may take several months for my collagen to rebuild. I had an immediate improvement from the swelling - lasted several days. Sadly no improvement after. Month 1, 2, 3 nothing. 6 months later jowls are still there. The office ladies were right to not guarantee the success of this. Not their fault. My sagginess was beyond the ability of the procedure. A year after I had a mini face lift - problem solved. Too bad I didn't save the ultherapy money for the mini lift. I'd have that money in my pocket and would have resolved my problem a year sooner.
