I. Hate. This. Surgery. My jeans don't even cover my scar. That's sad. I now look like I have a muffin top because the incision is digging into my sides. Before this surgery I liked my sides, and they sure as hell didn't hang over my jeans. Eff. Em. Ell.

The swelling will get better. Hang in there. I also used Dr. Cohen for my mommy makeover. I love my tummy tuck, but have mixed feelings about my breast lift/augmentation. Happy healing to you!

before pic....

So i got on my laptop and found the before pics that i took before i had my BA. This will act as my ultimate before picture. In it you will see all of the stretch marks and c-section scar that Dr. Cohen was able to get rid of with the tummy tuck. Craziness. And of course....my boobs still look awesome. :-)

The swelling is the hardest to deal with. I wish I could tell you it was just going to go away. I'll be 5 weeks post on Monday, & I'm still swollen. By the end of my work day it's terrible. It's always better in the mornings, but so frustrating. On a positive note, I look better swollen than I did before. This is a process. Just take it one day at a time & know that by summer you will be rocking a bikini!

I'm trying to remind myself of that. Thank you for your positive words! It's so hard to focus on the long term!!

I am at just about the one year mark, and it was absolutely worth it. It does get better it just takes time. I went through a lot of emotional crap, and you really do begin to question it's worth. It is a good time to focus on what causes the mental issues with yourself and try to heal those, while you heal physically. I did a lot of soul searching during my recovery, and now I absolutely love myself and my body. It took 33 years to figure that out. ;) you will get past the hump. Happy healing!!
