Thought I should share my recovery process for those considering the procedure. However please take this with a grain of salt because everyone is different! I am a full time student so i planned the procedure during my winter break.

Day of surgery: My surgery was scheduled for either 12 or 1pm (sorry i cant remember exactly!) and I was told to arrive 45 minutes prior. The anesthesiologist was late, so my surgery didn't actually begin until around 2 pm. Luckily my husband was with me, but I was very anxious and kinda annoyed about that. I know it wasn't my surgeons fault, which is why I did not mark him down for it, and ish happens, but it was terribly nerve racking to be sitting there waiting. ANYWAY....once the IVs went in I was out. Next thing I knew it was 4pm and I was sitting in a wheelchair to go home. The anesthesia made me very nauseous and thirsty = not a good combo! Once home all I did was sleep, drink gatorade/water, and throw up due to the anesthesia. The nausea medication did not help me unfortunately (but that's not to mean it wont help you - like I said, everyone is different).
The first night was a little rough as I could not physically lift myself up off the couch. My husband helped me get up to go to the bathroom and such. The pain wasn't bad - it was kind of a sore feeling like I just spent 7 hours at the gym working on my upper body. That's why I could not physically lift neither myself or anything up. I slept on the couch that night because my bed was too high off the ground and I could not sit up to get out of it.

Post op day 1: The morning was similar to the night before, except I could finally eat and drink without vomiting (sorry for the TMI). Pain was not bad. I took one dose of my pain meds that morning, and never took another after. Ibuprofen did the trick without the side effects of constipation and thirst. I spent that whole day watching TV and sleeping on the couch. My husband no longer needed to help me get up, but it was so much more comfortable to sleep on the couch for some reason.

PO days 2-4: I felt well enough to go run small errands with my husband (he drove). Pain was minimum. I would take maybe 2 doses tops of ibuprofen. Still slept on the couch at night.

PO Days 5: If I worked at the time, I would have felt well enough to return on day 5. At night I was getting sick of sleeping on the couch so bought myself a foam triangle to keep my back propped up slightly. It worked like a charm. If interested here's the link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0165VTZBW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

PO day 15: Began to work out again! Low intensity stuff (i.e. elliptical, stair master, stationary bike).

PO week 6-now: Began to run and do more high intensity work outs at week 6. Push ups felt weird at first - like my muscle was moving over the implant. Apparently that's normal? Anyway, I am almost 4 months PO now and I dont have that feeling anymore so I guess it goes away. Everything is basically back to the way it was pre-op - except that my boobs are on point :-)

Hope this helps!

Sorry for the tape on my boobs. It is recommended to keep the scars as small as possible.
