Total FX CO2 Laser Lower Eyelid Skin

WORTH IT
After years of corrective treatments for wrinkles and loose under eye skin I finally decided to go for a few consults for an under eye lift. I've done micro needling, peels, Retin A, several treatments of tear trough filler throughout the years. The fillers made it worse as each time I ate something high in sodium or indulged in a cocktail I was met with lumps and bumps under my eyes the next morning. I've tried every appropriate tear trough filler and several different injectors and plastic surgeons.
Just prior to my 52nd birthday I made appointments with several different doctors to finally correct the area. The first doctor told me I needed a forehead lift, with an upper and lower eye lid lift. I was referred to Doctor #2 who suggested I have an upper and lower eyelid lift, but he didn't feel it would correct the laxity that was just above my cheek area. Doctor #3, Dr. Felder told me I wasn't ready for a lower eye lift, but suggested a CO2 laser under my eye.
Today was my procedure. I was met by cheerful Jill, his assistant to go over my after care routine and to explain what to expect. She was so warm and friendly. She then took me to his surgical room where I laid down on a bed, she tucked me in with a warm cozy blanket and Dr. Felder walked me through the procedure. He first used numbing drops for my eyes, then gave me a few numbing shots by either side of my eyes and gave it about 5 minutes to kick in. I told him I've read up on the procedure and I've heard the worst part are the eye shields. He laughed and told me not to believe everything I read. He was right... not uncomfortable at all. He made a few jokes and started the laser. It lasted all of 5 minutes, maybe less. Cheerful Jill assisted me to a quiet room, once again tucked me in with a warm blanket and put ice packs on my eyes for 20 minutes and I was good to go.
I'm at home now resting comfortably following the ice on for 20 min/ice off 20 minutes/Aquaphor aftercare instructions. I had a wonderful in office experience and I'll be sure to share follow up pictures.

Can't wait to see the after pictures! Did he say how long downtime would take?

I'm going to post my pictures from yesterday after the procedure and today's pictures. Downtime is about 7 days. He said the most important aspect of post procedure care is Aquaphor all day and that's for 7-10 days. I won't be going out with Aquaphor. Everyone heals differently. I'm supplementing with Bromelain, Vitamin C, Zinc, but I'm typically not the fastest healer.

Day of Procedure-Day 1

KpAnimallover
Yesterday was day 1. It went pretty smoothly. I followed exact instructions….frozen peas on for 20/off for 20/Aquaphor up until 10:30 when I went to sleep propped up. I tend to swell easily. I drank a ton of water to try to combat swelling.

3:30 am I was feeling pretty swollen under my eyes and used frozen peas for 20 minutes, which seemed to do the trick.

Day 2

I think today is supposed to be the worst day, but I’m not feeling it. Got up, had my coffee, used a special wash around my eyes, Witch Hazel compresses for 20 minutes, iced and more Aquaphor. I feel good. Took my vitamins and relaxing.
