Filler for Acne Scars - Torquay, GB
ORIGINAL POST
Hi I had some acne scars left on my cheeks which...
WORTH IT$700
Hi
I had some acne scars left on my cheeks which gave my face a uneven dented look
I think because off my job and people always commenting why i had holes in my skin just wore away at me and i couldnt stand it any longer
I tried co2 laser a few times and had very few results so i started to look at other treatments
I kept thinking off doing a face lift as when i pulled my skin it looked smoother but im only 29 and most people said they wouldnt touch me till at least 40
I than saw on youtube a artical about using filler to cover up acne scars
I went straight to my local surgoen and told her about the procedure
I had diff types off acne scars rangeing from ice pix scars to deep scars
The procedure took around 1 hour
First i had my surgoen use a canola and she went into every scar right down to the tissue and basically ripped it apart so the scar wasnt being pulled down anymore to cause a dent
Than after she filled the scar up with juvederm 3 and juvederm 2
Im not going to say it wasnt painful as i felt everything but all i could think about was having a clearer complexion
The results were instant and my scars looked ALOT less noticeable
My face was sore that day and it was very swollen for 2 days but after that i was fine wearing make up again
I had 1 filler sryinges per cheek/scars
I still have slight scars i guess there never go but i can honestly say theres a big difference everyone who knows me has commented on it and most off all i dont feel shy anymore i can happily go out in make up or without and not worry about the sunlight showing up all my scars as there gone now
I know filler dont last forever but ill happily go through that pain and money every yr to have my skin the way it is now i also spoke about doing perminant filler or fat transfer so its perminant and last
I highly recommend it to anyone
Any questions please ask ill happily respond
I hope u like the before and after photos
Thank you so much to anna (surgoen) and thank you for reading

I also suffer from "rolling scars" as well as ice pick, especially in check area. Now in my sixties, the scars look even worse, as natural fat loss occurs as we age. Also had laser, which did nothing for scaring. (Actually, home peels do more than the laser did) Almost had a Quick Lift this summer, but timing didn't work out. And for same reasoning Anna; pulling skin back in mirror lessens the scars! Agree 100%. Have had fillers for scarring last 5 years or so. It helps tremulously. Haven't had any since last fall, and what a difference. Yuk. But having eyelift in two weeks, and didn't want anything in forehead affecting brow area. But don't like how my cheek bones looks with big dents, so going to my wonderful tech this Wednesday for a fill in cheek bone area. Not sure which filler she uses, but it does make a difference. Especially when in a natural light, that comes from the side, the scars really show up. Will check with my Plastic Surgeon to make sure getting fillers ok, otherwise will have to wait a few more weeks. Good luck with everything Anna. You're a beautiful young lady. Keep up the fillers, as results are better when you get them consistently, on a regular basis......
hi could you please tell me what type of home peels you had and what type of fillers? Thank you ////////i need help!
I honestly would stick with hyaluronic acid fillers. Try Juvederm Voluma next time because it lasts the longest of all hyaluronic acid fillers. If you are overcorrected with permanent fillers you can have lumps and bumps that is almost impossible to fix it to an acceptable level. I think it's just better to spend the money to maintain it instead of a permanent fix that can be a permanent problem. Plus with hyaluronic acid fillers, if you are overcorrected you can dissolve it at any time. That's an insurance policy.
i have spent £2000 on fraxel and got nothing to show for it, besides anxiety attacks every night and now a debt problem that is. Where did you get these fillers done im having real trouble finding somewhere that looks safe. thanks
Hi
I done them in the UK
With a trusted friend who i can give you her details off her clinic
I also had fraxel laser too which was a waste off money and made no difference

Go to YT and theres a dermo on it Dr Lim his page is Lasers and Lifts he will reply n tell you the best procedure and tell you who to go see nearer where you live,he is so upto date with latest technology so you dont waste money on stuff that doesnt work
Hi dzee1 i posted info thats for you but didnt put your name on it so hope you see the post abt Dr Lim
Dzee1 you can get MT Dermaroller on ebay for £5 its VFM and used correctly every 4-6 weeks 1mm length improves texture prob better than some lasers
I also suffer from similar scars and it's really killing my self esteem. I'm so desperate to treat the deep acne scars as soon as I can. Do you know if insurance covers fillers? What kind of a doctor should I go to? If you don't mind, how much did you pay for the whole procedure?
Hi
Im not sure if insurance would cover fillers
In the UK deff it would not but im not sure on other countries
I paid 500 pound
It last about a year than ill have to go back for a top up but this time ill do peremant fillers not i seen how great the outcome is

Thank you so much for your response. I'm thinking of doing microneedling and than see a real doctor for fillers.
Thank you to for your response. I've been rolling with 0.5mm and for the last 3 months with the 1mm. But I don't bleed although my face gets red. I don't really see you much improvement just yet. I have not used it consistently though. Do you know if that could be the issue?
When using a dermaroller its best to use it every 6 weeks as the skin needs time to heal so it can develop new collagen during this time. Probably now best to get a derma pen as iv heard the results as better than the rollers just shop around on ebay etc and look into people's advice which is the best one to buy for using at home. Using the same technique less is going to be better giving the skin enough time to heal in between sessions. Good luck.

I really appreciate you sharing your review. Great results, your skin looks much smoother. I also suffer from deep rolling scars and have been considering filler. What is a "canola" ? Is that like having subscion? Did you have any freezing prior to the treatment?
Its diff to a normal needle it lets u go furthur inside and under skin than a normal injection needle would
I didnt have any freezeing or numbing treatment before i was told it wouldnt make no difference
It was uncomfortable and painful but the results are outstanding ill happily do it again when its time
I say go for it really its changed my life
I just might take my next step soon, thanks for your reply -- your words and results are very encouraging. I really get frustrated with my scars, especially in certain light...I swear that fitting room lighting is the worst!
"I swear that fitting room lighting is the worst! "
and when the light comes to the face from side !
I hope all of us get rid of these scars !
It's so nice to talk with people who relate, another view I hate is the reflection in a window...I swear my skin looks like Freddy Krueger! I try really hard not to think about my scars, but honestly I am always assessing how they look, some days I think "oh, they don't look so bad" then other days I catch a glimpse and think, arg...but I do always remind myself that I could have worse things wrong with me and really pay gratitude to the positive things in my life and focus on my good qualities. Fingers crossed that one day there will be a simple permanent solution.
Hi stuartm, I haven't tried dermarolling yet, but I have seriously considered it. Glad you're seeing some improvement in your skin, do you have acne scarring?
