POD #140 second PO visit

My PS was very impressed with my progress, he actually thought it had been 3 weeks by looking at my stomach. He said at 4 weeks if I am still progressing well, he will remove the surgical tape if it is still there and I will not have to wear the binder anymore.. YAY!!
Still no exercise till 6 weeks..boo.

POD #12

MS walk today. We do the walk every year in memory of my brother, who passed away in 2010 at the age of 34. This year sadly I did not walk as I thought 5K might be pushing it, but rather I held down the fort while everyone else walked.
Feeling pretty good, swelling is still present and increases with activity. I am really tired by 8pm but don't nap during the day. I have not needed anything for pain in a while now. Still moving slowly and be careful but definitely? on the mend.

POD #8

I have been very fortunate to have been doing well. I had one day where I did too much (housework), and the swelling was significant. But basically took it easy after and it was fine. I am alone during the day, have been since day 3. Off narcotics since day 2 (with the exception of when I accidently punched myself in the incision putting my binder back on.. wow that hurt)
I could go out, but haven't mostly because I really don't feel like blow drying my hair and puting on acceptable clothes..lol
I have made it to a GF for dinner and that was good.
Been working from home since day 2 and that has been good with keeping me busy as I am not a daytime napper, and really can't watch TV all day.
Today I am going to work on our taxes to keep busy
By big victory today was I was concerned with how high my scar was, but tried on my lowest bikini bottom and was happy to see it completely covered it. Remember your scar will really only be seen by you and your significant other so try not to fixate on it too much.

Happy healing. This fourm has been great for ideas and support
