7 weeks!

Today marks 7 weeks since I've had my mommy makeover and despite the fact that the swelling is still there, I'm loving my new body and can't wait to be fully healed!
I haven't updated in a while because I had a septoplasty a couple of weeks ago (due to a double deviated septum that was causing breathing problems) and that kind of sucked what little energy I had left. I'm starting to be on the mend from both surgeries and am optimistic that my healing and recovery, though long, will be worth the wait.
Last week I went on a little VS splurge, as it was Valentine's Day, and I finally feel comfortable in my own skin enough to wear some sexy panties and bras! I haven't yet taken pics in them all yet, but as soon as I do, I will post!
I've started lymphatic drainage this month as well and for the first 2 weeks, went once a week for half hour, now I've increased it to twice a week for 45 minutes. I find it was starting to help alleviate some swelling and I really want to bring my recovery to the next level. I'm going to try this for a few weeks and see if it helps.

No CG for a change!!!

I was told I can wear my CG for 12 hrs on and 12 hrs off, but I've continuously opted to wear it 24hrs a day (or as much as possible), just because it feels tight and holds in the swelling, but tonight for the first time, I actually wore a thong and a bra (no wires or push up allowed yet) and it felt so good to feel a little normal for a change.

4 Week PO

Today marks 4 weeks since my MM and I'm so happy that I'm finally getting energy back to do a lot of things and I'm definitely more mobile. Swelling is still a constant and it worsens as the day goes on. Laying flat on my back is now doable, but at times it feels that much skin is being stretched too much. My abdomen is still very tight and swollen but I know it will take time to heal. I just started lymphatic drainage today to help stimulate the blood vessels to regenerate and to get the fluid moving rather than pooling at my abdomen. I've also started applying various silicone gels and creams to my scars to help with the healing process and I occasionally put a marble in my belly button to help encourage it to go in. Hopefully all these things help ease and speed up my recovery! I'm glad I've gotten this far, but so excited to see see what it will all look like at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months!

Dr. Bray has been amazing thus far! Great bedside manner, honest, detail-oriented, a true artist. Appointments have always been punctual and he doesn't rush you. He answers any and all questions and really wants you to be happy and to understand what is involved. His assistant Paulette is amazing too! She runs a one-woman show, so she usually isn't able to answer your calls, but she does eventually get back to you as soon as she can. I've found email is the best way to contact her. She's an RN and has worked in the industry for years, so she has a lot of knowledge.
