WORTH IT$10,000
Uploading some pictures here of the final result, about 3.5 years after my procedure.
Very happy with how everything turned out - I would say the majority of the swelling resolved within 8-10 months and that my final results was visible as it is today at about the 1 year mark.

Looks great! I too will be going to Dr. Asaria for a rhinoplasty and have thin skin that will require him to use fascia on the bridge. Wondering if you have more recent pictures now that all the swelling is gone. I'm curious to see if it's still smooth or if can see some irregularities. Thanks

Procedure was done with precision and care. I am thrilled with the results.
I had a portion of my scalp fascia removed and transplanted onto the bridge of my nose to compensate for extra thin delicate skin, and I have to say, healing from the one inch incision on my scalp was probably the worst part.
The recovery from rhinoplasty from Dr Asaria is unpleasant but worth it. For the first week you will be very uncomfortable, but medicated. I had no packing or stuffing in my nose at all, in fact I could breathe perfectly naturally immediately coming out of surgery and throughout the recovery. Once the cast came off after a week I felt like a whole new woman (with minor black eyes- nothing a little makeup couldn't fix!)
All in all, it's worth the discomfort, and I am so happy with my new nose!

Great nose! And such a positive attitude. Question, were your nustrols taken in a bit?
August 24, 2016
@Rteresa, yes they were slightly. I probably had about two or three stiches on the bottom of either nostril. I was told that because I was reducing the length of my nose (bringing it closer to my face) that I might have to narrow my nostrils and it was a judgement call that Dr. Asaria made on the operating table.

Your nose looks fantastic!!! My surgery is scheduled for next Wed and I'm starting to get nervous (despite being very confident in my surgeon). My doc also mentioned the possibility of using scalp fascia. Any post op must haves or tips? I know it can take up to a year for swelling to really go down… But about how long do you think it's took for the brunt of the post op swelling to really go down? I know it can take up to a year for final results. Was your rhino open or closed? You look beautiful!!

As far as post op tips I would just say stay on top of your medication schedule and have lots of ice packs ready! I had 4 or 5 small ziplock bags of frozen corn on a rotation and was constantly icing especially during the first few days, I don't know to what end that benefitted my final result but it just felt really nice and relieved my discomfort. I would say most of the swelling went down after a couple of weeks, though my nose still looked puffy and wider at the tip and bridge especially, at my 6 week follow up I was given a steroid injection into my nose and that definitely sped thing along, I would say almost all swelling is gone now but my Dr assures me there is still some progress to be made. In any case I couldn't be happier, I only wish I had done it sooner! Good luck with your surgery I am sure everything will be perfect! You will be so happy
