I had never loved my nose but in my teens and early 20s it looked ok.
As I entered my early 30s I noticed it looked more and more crooked, especially in photos. One side was dented in due to a scar on the inside of my nose, while the other side curved out, possible due to a small fracture I suffered as a young child.
I always had tear troughs under my eyes and weight gain had made my neck, never dainty to begin with even worse, with my skin going from my prominent chin in a slight slope down to my chest, with little definition.
I consulted with a couple of doctors in Toronto about a rhinoplasty. One was a definite no as I felt that he and his staff looked unnatural themselves, not a good sign to me in regards to the doctors eye and skills.
The other doctor seemed competent and specialized only in rhinoplasty, but because I was interested in the possibility of other procedures I kept looking.
When I found Dr Adibfar through realself and had a consultation I immediately knew that I would go with him.
He spent more than an hour explaining the procedure and healing with me and he and his team look absolutely beautiful and are very kind and welcoming.
After asking him what else he could do to improve my looks he suggested that he could do some fat grafting on my face to get rid of my tear troughs and give some pretty volume to my cheeks, and liposuction my neck so it would give some definition to my jawline. I also had an underbite that was corrected with braces and a large chin which meant that my lips and mouth area were receded. Dr Adibfar said he could use fat grafting in my lips to make them protrude more and better balance my profile and give more harmony with the projection of my chin.
The pictures he showed me of his work, including a young woman who had the same procedures he suggested were lovely, and the young girl’s face had a soft, natural looking prettyness to it. It was the kind of work where people will notice that you look great but not necessarily be able to pinpoint exactly why!
He was able to book me in only three weeks later so I paid and got an appointment. The operation was performed in November 2017.
I want to add that I am a methadone patient which means I take opiate replacement therapy. I was concerned that this would disqualify me from doing this kind of surgery or that I would suffer in pain afterwards due to not being able to take painkillers but Dr Adibfar accepted me and worked with my other Dr to make sure that I would be comfortable but safe. I was allowed a short course of Tylenol 3 but in the end Dr Adibfar’s work was so skilled I did not even need to take the Tylenol!
I had so little pain that it was not necessary.
As you will see from my photos I also had hardly any bruising on my face even though he filled my tear troughs.
The overall result is so excellent and I feel very confident and beautiful!
I had a very difficult nose to fix and Dr Adibfar explained afterwards that he spent a great deal of time fixing it.
As you can see in the photos it is so much straighter and cuter with a slight upturned profile, and the improvement in my appearance is remarkable.
The divot on one side is still slightly there and at the one year mark we may use a little filler to round it out slightly.
When I returned to work many people said I looked so great and wondered what I had done and if I had lost weight as my neck lipo made me look thinner and the filler in my cheeks gave the impression of cheek bones.
I cannot reccoment Dr Adibfar and his team enough he is a very skilled, highly educated Dr with an artistic eye for aesthetic surgery.
I am very happy and greatful for my results.
