I wish I could say my surgery was easy and uneventful, but I developed an infection after. Fortunately Dr Smith picked it up on the first visit after surgery and got me on antibiotics immediately. I didn't even realize I was becoming infected! I just thought I was really swollen. Anyway the antibiotics worked and the redness between my nostrils went away by the time I saw him a few days later. The swelling took much longer as Dr Smith said it would. He had me take extra advils and I had to massage my nose for weeks and weeks. Plus he had me tape my nose nightly for 6 weeks. At 3 months he said I had caught up and was where I should be with the swelling. I'm 9 months since surgery and the swelling is gone and my nose looks narrow. I love it! I was worried the first couple of months but I trusted Dr Smith and he reassured me things would all work out. I don't look different and unless I tell people nobody has figured it out. I just look better and that makes me feel a lot more confident and positive.

Dr Smith took a lot of care with me. When I got infected he saw me frequently to make sure I was healing okay. I especially like he only does rhinoplasty surgery. I also came to realize he does a lot which is also reassuring! After surgery he saw us in the hospital clinic which I wasn't completely okay with as there were his other patients all waiting to see him. I'm a private person but in the end it was alright as we all kinda talked about our experiences. Dr Smith wanted to show my pictures on his website which I was totally NOT okay with! Other than the scare from the infection which in the end didn't changes things, my whole experience was good. It turned out to be better than I though, infection included! If you are thinking about having rhinoplasty, Dr Smith is the best!!
