Going into detail about the procedure here. Initially before even beginning to fantisize about my nw look, Dr.Tong and I had a discussion on what my wishes were and what he would be able to do. Dr.Tong asks you what your main concerns are, giving you the option to tell him what you are looking for. My issue was the projection of my nose, the width of it as as well as how the tip was naturally ( being slightly pointed down ). From that we were able to map out what my nose would look like. The day of the procedure I was brought to the clinic where you are met with pleasant nurses. You are told to wear comfortable clothing and are then stripped ( besides underwear) and are given a comfy robe and slippers. You are then offered a seat in the side waiting room ( private ) until you are called to prepare. After this you are brought to the main operation area. Since Dr.Tong is affiliated with several other surgeons in the large clinic area, you can see the bustling yet calm environment of people throughout. You are then met with your anesteoligist which gives you some calming medication, does some work with you, etc. After that Dr.Tong personally comes and has the detailed conversation with you to ensure that everything you asked for prior to the day of the procedure is what you truly want, as there is no turning back once it is done. You get drawn on, and then you walk your way down to the operation table, where you are covered in a heated blanket and given your anestetic which causes you to slowly doze off. The procedure took 3 hours total for me as I also had fat grafting done to my upper lids and my chin area, which also turned out highly successful ( 6 months later they are still looking great !) You wake up afterwards not feeling a thing. Soon after you are permitted to go home with a resonsible adult. Due to going under sedation you feel naucious and will throw up. Due to having the rhinoplasty there is blood build up from the bone breakage. However, it is not a deterant from the procedure itself and is just a small memory of the day. You are not very swollen the first day, but very weak. Eating was a hassle at first as my upper face was swollen from the rhinoplasty and the bottom was swollen from the fat grafting. I do not imagine it would be as difficult if only the rhinoplasty was done. You begin to swell heavily for 2-4 days, and by the end of the week it begins to calm down. At this point you'd meet up with Dr.Tong to take off anything that was applied on you to keep the nose from getting harmed. Even when the cast was taken off I could see right away that my nose became very nice. After the initial 6 weeks of the procedure I went and saw Dr.Tong again to check up on my nose as well as begin to inject steriods in the nose to promote quicker healing for the scar tissue. After 3 injections ranging to 4 months post-op ,my nose looked much better. Come 6 months later and you are able to see it is a very smooth profile and a much nicer frontal image than I had before. Although I do not have before pictures , my after process was very successful. Because so much was changed with my nose and due to my skin thickness , time for healing for my nose will take upwards to 1.5 years. Dr.Tong gives detailed information about this as he does not want any surprises for the patient, so they stay calm and are truly expectant with good results.

Dr. Tong was very clear and answered all of my questions thoroughly. Him and his staff provided top notch hospitality and made the patient feel right at home. The day of the procedure felt like you were being pampered at a spa, and once you woke up you could feel excitement from the new you. I highly recommend Dr.Tong to anyone looking to improve their appearance naturally and look like the way they have always dreamed of.
Pros
- The surgery was very successful
- It was painless and the swelling was no hard to deal with
- The nose is visually improved instantly and will dramatically get improved within a few months
- Dr.Tong and his staff check up on you often and are there anytime you need them if you have any concerns.
Cons
- During winter months the dryness and cold weather can irritate a recent rhinoplasty. However this has nothing to do with the practice itself, but more so the healing process.
