Happy new year everyone!
Today it has been 4 weeks since my surgery. Everything is healing well.
My swelling had not changed much since my last update, my nose still feels very stiff and swollen. I hope there will be a much slimmer refined nose under there, it's a little wide for my liking right now. My left and right sides look different because of the crookedness but as the swelling goes down it is looking much better, I think it is something that most people will not notice. Overall, my nose is no where near perfect but there has been a huge improvement in its appearance which I am happy about and hope it will continue to improve over the next year.
My chin looks great, I think all the swelling is gone now as it has not changed since the second week. I really like that it still feels like me and that it is not a very drastic change. It brought balance to my face very nicely.
I see my Dr at the two month mark to start cortisone injection, I hope this will help reduce the swelling quicker. I will post an update right before I see him and after to document the effect of the injections.

Its looking good! Do glad you are starting to feel better. I am researching for a possible revision some day and keen to see how you go with the injections. All the best ☺

You nose swelling has definitely improved, it looks awesome from what I can see. How are you doing now? Do you still plan to go for injections? I'm worried as my nose is still so swollen. He took a photo of my nose immediately after the surgery was complete and it looks nothing like what I've got going on right now.

I am doing alot better and my nose is changing every week. I do think I will go for the injections. After my last revision I had swelling for a good two years, it took a long time for me to see the final results. I have had three surgeries and have thick skin which means my recovery will be longer than normal. You are still early into the healing stage so by the 4th week you will look much better and your nose will continue to change slowly over the next year until it ends up looking like the picture he took right after surgery.

Finally! I see the light

Hello Ladies,
Thank you all for your encouragement and lovely comments. Your support through this means a lot to me. I was invited to a party this weekend that I wasn't sure I wanted to go to just because I didn't know if my swelling has gone down enough, my mom told me that I looked fine and that I should.
I just had my hair done three weeks ago and made a drastic change going much shorter and much blonder, I thought that would be a great diversion so ppl cannot notice what changed. It worked as everyone said I looked so different but they couldn't pin point anything other than the hair :D
My swelling has gone down a lot more these past tow days and my nose is starting to look more natural and less crooked, for the first time in a very long time I am starting to like it. I know that this doesn't mean it will be perfect but it is a million times better than the nose I had. I think my Dr did a great job with what he had.
My chin shrunk a little more and it is looking really nice, it is still a little crooked but it is exactly as crooked as my natural chin was now so it doesn't bother me and it is very unnoticeable. I think my dr did a very good job with my chin as it already feels like a part of my face, the stiffness is gone and aside from the scar (which is not looking good at this point, working on it) I think it looks awesome. it has made my face look better from all angles and because I had a naturally tiny chin from the front it, my chin shape did not change or become more boxy which I am very happy about.
My mom took a few pictures of me and for the first time ever I didn't have to delete more than half the pictures because my nose looked horrible. It did look swollen in dome pictures but I know that is just temporary.
I woke up today and looked at my oily face in the mirror and thought the pain I went through this time was worth it! I just have to be patient and wait until I am one year post up, which is going to be awesome as I get my braces off too and I will have a lovely smile to match my new nose!

Wow , he really did a nice job:)
Your nose looks amazing after only two weeks!
Did he bring your nose alot closer to your face? If so do you know how much mm?
December 29, 2015
Thank you! He did bring my nose closer to my face but he also made it longer as well because it was very upturned. I am not sure how many mm's but before I had a slope to my profile while now it is almost straight, its getting straighter as the swelling goes down. I will try to post an updated profile picture soon as I think it looks completely different from the previous picture I posted.

Two weeks Today

Rada88
Hello everyone!
Today marks my two week post op, it is amazing how fast the human body will heal after surgery. The swelling has gone down a little more. My chin implant has improved quite a bit now, it still looks a little crooked from the front but the difference it has made to my appearance is great. I am very happy I did it. It added length and projection to my face, which balanced out my features.
I am still hoping my nose will shrink a lot more and become more refined.

Honestly I can tell your nose is looking much better already. Hang in there!
December 28, 2015
It is! you were right, I think I freaked out because last time the less swelling the more crooked my nose looked. It felt like that was going to happen again but it didn't. The more my nose is going down the better it is looking.

Wow, you are looking great! I think the chin is healing really well and agree that it brings balance to your face. Good luck and healing there and on your nose.
December 28, 2015
Thank you! My chin even shrunk a little more since I took these pictures, I was surprised as it didn't feel like it was swollen but it was. I still have a few small lumps under my skin where the implant is but many of them went away last week so I am not too worried. How are you doing? are you feeling better?
December 28, 2015
Your nose looks amazing for two weeks!! It'll definitely be more refined with time as you wouldn't expect the finished thing two weeks into recovery - if it looked perfectly refined now you'd probably be worrying that it would end up too small once all the swelling subsided. I know what it's like to worry. I'm getting my cast off tomorrow and although, like you, I've chosen a revision rhinoplasty specialist this time and my main mistake was NOT choosing the right doctors the last three times around. Although I'm confident in my surgeon, I just can't get super hopeful and my emotions about it are so up and down. I was sooooo hopeful the last few times and look what happened! My mom told me that I'm being annoying with my worries and negative attitude (it's not that negative but I've made a few worried comments here and there) but it's hard to throw myself back into the 'this will go perfectly mindset, after what we've been throw!! Sorry for the essay but just trying to say I know how you feel. Have you talked to your doctor about the uneven swelling? It may be because he had to do more work on one side than the other. Maybe worth checking with him to ease your mind but seems like you chose a very good doctor. Wishing you the best!! Thanks for sharing your story.

My mom says the same thing about me too! Thank you for your kind words, no one around me knows how I feel really. My dr has been very good, he really knows what he is doing. He did warned me before surgery that my nose is very crooked and said that he is going to do his best to get it straight but it will not be perfect. today I woke up and my nose actually looked a lot more even, still crooked but something I can live with. Best of luck tomorrow with your cast removal and I hope you will get the results you have always hoped for!
