I'm a mother of 3 who is small framed and in good shape. Work out regularly, eat well but I just couldn't fix this loose skin around my lower abdomen and the stretch marks extended past my belly button. I had wanted to do a tummy tuck 5 years ago and was scheduled to do it but got very nervous and backed out at the last minute. This past year I got up the courage to do it once and forall so I found a new PS and right away he made me feel comfortable.
The Tummy Tuck with Lipo to the abdomen and muffin top was performed 2 weeks ago today.
My procedure went very well. I had 2 drains in place that were an annoyance but after a day I was a pro at caring for them.
I stayed overnight in the hospital the day of my Surgery which I was happy about because I was very nauseated and did vomit after surgery. ( this happens to me after anesthetic usually)
I returned home the following morning and took 1 pain pill but it ended up hsving the opposite effect on me and I was wide awake all night. I was not in a lot of pain at all mostly just uncomfortable so I decided just to go with extra strength Tylenol and see if I could manage the discomfort with that. I was totally fine on 1 pill every 4-6 hours and by day 4 I was off even that. The most challenging part has been sleeping for me. I could only sleep for 2-3 hours at a time. I had a recliner placed in my room and so I would switch between my bed and recliner to feel comfortable. I finally just started taking a sleep aid to help me and they has helped me the last 3 nights.
On day 6 had the drains removed which was not very pleasant but I was happy to be rid of them.
I'm getting the stitches out of my belly button today so I'm excited about that.
I will post more on my progress as it happens but so far I am pretty pleased.

Yes he did Lipo on my abdomen and the muffin top. He had me bring in my favourite underwear on the day of surgery to make sure the incision sat below them. The whole procedure was just under 10,000 Canadian. Hope that helps. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask

Things have continued to progress well. Wearing my binder still full time as I have some lower abdominal swelling. This is the only thing that is a bit annoying because the swelling increases as I move around and by the afternoon I have this hard buldge from the incision line down. I can put on my jeans but haven't been able to do them up all the way because of the swelling :( not sure how long that is supposed to last. Started lymphatic drainage to see if that can help with the swelling. It feels a bit weird especially in the areas where I'm numb and tingly but I'm hoping it will help.
I also went back to the gym this week just started spinning and very light weights but then got a cold and cough so I decided to wait till I'm 100% better to return.
The incision looks good and I'm pleased with my results so far just want to get swelling better under control. I'm working again starting today and feel good just feel tired and sore by the end of the day. as they say...Time heals all wounds... literally.

Great results. I'm curious to know if you are still swelling. My pyshique is very similar to yours and I'm scheduled to have a TT in 5 weeks and am starting to get super nervous and beginning to wonder if I should cancel. The recovery just seems so long and I HAVE to return to work two weeks after, although I have a desk job.

Yes I do have swelling still. This is completely normal. I'm ok in the morning but by the end of the day it's pretty swollen. It doesn't hurt but I can't fit into all my normal clothes yet. Although today I put on my favourite jeans for the first time. If you can wear leggings or a dress at work for a few weeks that is a good plan. You will still have a binder on for 6 weeks that doesn't fit under tight clothes so well. I've been getting the lymphatic drainage massage every few days and it seems to be helping with the swelling.
My doctor suggested 3 weeks off work I don't think at week 2 I could have sat all day to be honest. But I'm a baker so I'm on my feet all day. If you have the ability to elevate your legs at work that would be good.
The recovery is actually not so terrible. The first week is obviously the roughest part. I'm 5 weeks oat tomorrow and have been back to my regular routine mostly for a couple of weeks.
I cancelled my procedure 5 years ago and regretted it for so long. I was nervous and I just couldn't do it. I'm glad I finally did it. It has been worth it for me. Everyone reacts differently but I have had very few concerns other then the swelling which is just annoying really. Good luck!! Message me again if you have any other questions I can help you with
